BEST CEVICHES IN NY.
I can officially call myself a regular at this place. I'll either dine in, or take-out. The food is so fresh, so healthy, I could eat it practically every night.
The staff is amazing. I'm planning to have my birthday celebration there. La Barra gives you the option of closing down the joint, setting up a fixed menu, buffet style, music, wine & beer.... what else can you ask for??

very small portions / large bills and... SALTINES!.
they said they had "no soda" that night... on a friday. wouldn't you just goto the deli around the corner and stock up if you owned the place? the ceviche was tiny and overpriced for it's portion...5-6 tiny pieces for $12 with saltines! on the side. the empanada ($6) was one small empanada cut in half, like a sandwich, with no flavor. the order of 2 enchiladas were the size of silver dollars... really. the server was nice enough - but enough for me to waste fifty bucks there again...

Editorial Review.
This Lower East Side wine and ceviche bar is a labor of love from a former Veritas chef returning to his Mexican roots.
