ARROGANT, FILTHY AND A RIP OFF AT BEST.
DONT FALL FOR THEIR STYLISH ONLINE LOOK............
IT TOOK ME 3 DAYS TO GET A DELIVERY, Reason being that they did not have anyone to deliver and there was no delivery for a couple of days. On top of that the person had the Audacity to tell me that HE DID NOT TAKE MY ORDER..................WHAT A JERKKKKKKKK!!!!!!
Apart from the fact that this place is A RIP OFF at 1.29 and my clothes had NO HINT OF LAUNDRY.
Great service. Very professional organization, so glad that I can finally trust a place with my laundry! Was unsatisfied first time around with an item, and they redid my entire load for free! Log yor preferences in so that you never have to repeat what you want (I for example have a specific detergent i like plus dryer sheets). Really great and fast.
Great addition to the neighborhood.
After years of negative experiences having laundry done on the upper east side, finally a clean, effective and friendly service has shown up.
They even cater to those of us who are conscious of being environmentally friendly.
As effortless as getting laundry done can be-
Laundry & dry Cleaning - easy and ORGANIC!. I have been using Todd Layne Cleaners since they opened about four years ago. There is a noticeable difference in my laundry and I love the way they use the detergent of my choice and hang-dry my delicates. Their dry cleaning is environmentally friendly and I like that my sweaters come back in sweater bags...great for storage. I schedule my pickups with their website and their customer service is first rate. I put them to the test last week and requested that some garments for my trip be cleaned and returned to me on the same day. The Manager handled my request and everything was done on time! Their pricing is comparable to most of the other cleaners in the area.
Laundry Day. When I first moved to the UES I was told not to go to these guys for my laundry because of negative rumors about the owners suing a costumer and the prices for self-service. So I didn’t, I ended up walking a block and a avenue away to an older launder mat with crappy machines and dryers that took more than an hour to dry a small load of clothes. Around four months later, I was in a rush and really didn’t have time to wash my clothes so far away so I went to Todd Layne Cleaners. It was very clean and the women working there seem busy with their job but were kind and helpful. They also have half off Fridays on their washers for self-service, which lessens/evens out their price towards competitors. I also use them for all my dry-cleaning/wash and fold which comes back fabulous. If I knew how Todd Layne Cleaners really was by going there I would have never wasted my time and energy going somewhere else further away. It’s a good thing.
The way it should be!. Todd Layne was a breath of fresh air when they opened in the neighborhood a few years back - nothing else around this area of the UES comes close! Most cleaners send their washing out to factories in Queens where they wash your clothes in an industrial washer with a bunch of other peoples clothes - for real!! TLC does washing on site, clearly not mixing your clothes with anyone else, has clean organic cleansers (even in their dry cleaning) - fair pricing and very nice, customer service oriented staff make doing business here a pleasure -
Terrible and Rude. I had my laundry and dry cleaning picked up after calling multiple times to find availability. They combined my cashmere sweater and silk dress with my laundry, destroying both. Whatever, accidents happen. My problem was that when I went in to explain the situation (a few times as Todd was rarely around), Todd questioned me, didn't believe my story, told me he would look into it. When I said I had a few issues in the past and was a frustrated customer, Todd told me that a lot of people like them and that was that. Terrible, terrible service, and rude service.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE !!.
WHY IS THERE NO OPTION TO GIVE ZERO STARS? I HAVE TO GIVE ONE STAR BECAUSE THERE IS NO OPTION.
FIRST OF ALL, TODD, STOP WRITING YOUR OWN REVIEWS AND GIVING YOURSELF FIVE STARS. NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOUR 'ORGANIC' PRODUCTS WHEN YOUR SERVICE IS SO TERRIBLE.
I WENT TO TODD LAYNE BECAUSE IT IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET, BUT AFTER THIS I WILL NEVER EVER BE GOING BACK AGAIN.
FIRST OF ALL, I DROPPED A VERY LARGE ORDER OVER THREE WEEKS AGO AND STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET ALL OF MY CLOTHES BACK YET.
WHEN I WENT TO PAY FOR MY CLOTHES THEY WERE MISSING ONE OF MY VERY EXPENSIVE DRESSES AND ANOTHER BLOUSE HAS A HUGE SPOT ON IT THAT LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE WHO WAS WORKING HAD SPILLED AND STAINED! MAYBE SINCE THEY SPILLED ON THE BLOUSE THEY HAD ALSO RUINED THE DRESS AND THAT WHY IT WAS 'MISSING'.
SINCE THE PERSON WORKING THERE AT THAT TIME WAS NOT A MANAGER AND THERE WAS GOING TO BE NO MANAGER IN UNTIL WEDNESDAY, I HAD TO WAIT THREE DAYS TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. THEN ON WEDNESDAY THE MANAGER TELLS ME SHE WILL DROP THE CHARGES, BUT THAT IT IS UP TO THE OWNER SO SHE HAS TO CHECK WITH THE OWNER FIRST.
ANOTHER DAY GOES BY AND STILL I HEAR FROM NO ONE. I CALL BACK THE NEXT DAY AND A DIFFERENT PERSON WORKING TELLS ME TO E-MAIL THE OWNER. SO I E-MAIL THE OWNER TELLING HIM TO PLEASE CALL ME ASAP.
NO CALL. I GET AN E-MAIL BACK ACCUSING ME OF LYING AND SAYING HE IS NOT GOING TO GIVE ANY DISCOUNT AT ALL.
I ASKED HIM TO PLEASE CALL ME BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUSLY DIFFICULT TO DISCUSS THIS OVER E-MAIL AND THAT A WEEK HAS NOW GONE BY AND STILL I AM GETTING NO WHERE WITH THESE PEOPLE AND MANAGERS IN THE STORE HAVE NO ABILITY TO MAKE DECISIONS.
I AM STILL WAITING TO GET HELPED AND SPEAK TO THE OWNER DIRECTLY.
I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW UNETHICAL AND SHADY THESE PEOPLE ARE.
I feel safe dropping my pants at TLC. Though there a glut of laundromats and dry cleaners on the Upper East Side, the reason for this is that to some degree they all stink. So you can imagine how very happy I was to discover TLC on the recommendation of a friend. Todd and the managers run a very clean and customer-friendly business. It's an added bonus that they are environmentally friendly as well. While I haven't had any major customer service issues( like some bloggers I know), Todd assures me every time I go that if there is any problem that he, personally, will attend to it.
Best Cleaners on the UES. Todd Layne Cleaners has great service. My sweater came back looking like new. The staff is also super friendly. I highly recommend them.
