The hotel is a little over the top, and its bar and club scene even more so, but the restaurant at the Standard is surprisingly good, with legitimately seasonal, carefully sourced, simple food executed well. The front beer garden, with its elaborate sausage program, is fabulous as well.

Not a fan. I was excited to go to the Standard Grill for my birthday, but was really disappointed. First of all, we were a group of 7 and they did not have a table that comfortably fits seven. This was shocking to me especially considering the restaurant is so big. We were told that they could seat us at a larger round table if we were 10 people, but not if we were less than that. We ended up in a booth which was so small that we could barely cut our food without bumping into each other. Also, they forgot about the side dishes we ordered and after following up with the waiter a few times they brought them to us mid meal.

One stop shop. everything is there, amazing views, amazing service, great food, stunning Beer Garden, amazing top floor Bar and an Ice skating rink.....

not for sleeping but everything else is fab.
gorgeous hotel, hip, staff are nice if you are....but the guests might be a bit of late nighters....so not good for a business trip. had to call the front desk several times and finally at 5:30am things quieted down. I was hoping my next door neighbors had horrible hang overs. in the morning .....horrible! I still hope they are suffering....
but lovely if you don't stay next to "those" types.
amazing view, wonderful bathtub....great location.

Great food, wine not so good.. Great place to go with friends. Food was amazing. I had the porterhouse steak medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Lots of flavor and no need for sauces. Service was excellent and atmosphere was chic. One thing. The wine list sucked! A variety of choices but all the choices were bad and these were $100 bottles. We finally found a cab that was suitable but be warned. Overall I'll go back.

standard food. I ordered the Swordfish and was shocked at how salty it was...i think they marinated it in the dead sea. For the first time in many years at any restaurant, I sent back my food. I decided to snack on the potatoes side dish that my friend ordered. That too was extremely salty. The service though was very good. When I brought it to their attention that they charged me for the Swordfish, they kindly removed it and apologized. So far, not impressed with the food. The bar scene is totally cheesy....women fawning over euro pervs who think they're god's gift to...everyone. Fun to people watch but other than that, not worth it.

Never Disappointed!. Best food in NYC. I admit you have to be in the know to get seated immediately but it is worth the hassle. The food is amazing the drinks are amazing and ever changing from brunch to dinner you cant loose, they even found a way to improve a simple grape fruit! Wow for dinner order the squid amazing! I'm hungry thinking about it.

Nice Birthday Dinner! Trendy Spot!. My girlfriends and I decided to try a trendy spot for my birthday. Its very busy and loud, but that was find. The only bad thing is that they don't seat you if your whole party isn't there, eventhough 3 of the 4 of us were already there and we could of at least started looking at the menu and ordering apps. Maybe its a way for you to buy drinks at the bar before you get seated. Our server was friendly, and the food was very good. We order a sample of all the meats and I got the lamb chops, very yummy. I just didn't like that we were seated right by the door, but it was a good experience. A little to busy and trendy for me, but have to try it at least once.
