GET THE CANNOLI.
This place = yummy food!!
We have been several times & every time I think we need to get down here more often. Great environment.... warm friendly people.
Of coarse I have the friends that like to share, so we create our own tasting menu. We all order an appetizer & an entree...take a bite & pass it along! My favorite app is the scallops!! My favorite entree is the salmon w/the best caponata on the planet!!!!
...ahhhh, the grand finale' - the cannoli! No words here....pure delight & unlike anything you've ever had!!
Newish Italian near the Soho grand. This place seems a little new, but they're getting it right. Great cocktails. Excellent and surprising beer selection. They genuinely seemed to want us to have a positive experience and we did. The gnocchi was delicious, but I'd steer clear of the carbonara. Give this place a try.
Love the Beer. I had the Demon Hunter beer.. It was great... I love the selection.. The Lasagna was great too... Definitely going to go back and sample some more beers.
You have to try this place.
So this is the second time i have come to Lusso. The first time they had just opened up and i thought that by now people would have found out about them but this place is still a quiet so-ho secret, easily overshadowed by their neighbor Felix.
The first time i promised that i was going to try the duck when i returned but it was replaced on the menu with a salmon dish. i gave that a try and was not disappointed. it was a surprising combinations of flavors, with a crispy basil and an eggplant caponata topping but it worked wonderfully, And the dessert is not to be missed. i hope that more people find out about this gem!
Best Neighborhood Restaurant I've Come Across in a Long, Long Time.. Each course from the antipasto to dessert was outstanding. I especially enjoyed the gnocchi, which was exceptionally light even though it is made from potatoes. The sea bass was perfectly cooked and was just about the best piece of fish I have ever eaten. The service was superb. The wine list is well thought out. It is not overpriced, as is so often the case these days. The cannoli dessert was made like a lasagna instead of in the usual tubular style. It was a total delight. I can't wait to return.
Must visit!!!. I've lived in this neighborhood for ten years and have seen Italian restaurants line every street but Lusso stands out among all the rest. I stopped in thinking it was just another italian restaurant but I was proven wrong. My date and i started out with the stuffed calamari which was not only a carnival of flavors but also the most tender calamari I've ever had. We moved on from there having the gnocchi which was incredible and for those who have never had FRESH gnocchi, Lusso shows you what you've been missing! My date had the risotto with roasted pear, walnuts and gorgonzola cheese. Delicious!! On to entrees where I was floored by the prosciutto wrapped cod served with mussels and clams, and my date couldn't help but to eat every bite of her roasted duck breast with speck cherry dolce. Unfortunately we had neither the time or space for dessert, but the quaint, romantic, atmosphere will have me coming back very soon and often. A must visit for anyone who loves great food!!
Delicious!. We stopped by on a Tuesday and had dinner. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. We'll definitely be coming back soon.
What?!. Walked in on a slow Sunday night and was truely taken by surprise. Had a main coarse and dessert...definately a place to check out!
Best Tiramisu on the Planet. I was recently there with a group of friends and I must say - it was great! The food, the service, the ambiance was fantastic. I highly recommend you try the tiramisu! The portion was HUGE so you may want to share with a friend. It's also a great brunch spot - check it out on Saturdays and Sundays and order the french toast. I hear it's really good :)
