Worst experience of my life, no lie. OK, i purchased a Living Social deal for a slimming massage and body wrap from Yin Beauty & Arts Spa. WORST SPA EXPERIENCE EVER!!! i have never been so disappointed, i even left angry and i'd like to think im a calm person.

it started off very rushed, even though i was 15mins early for my appt. I was told this wasn't a body massage and i had to pick just one area to work on, which was the first let down b/c it never said that in the deal. Next came the treatment itself, on my thighs as I had chosen. So much pain! The whole treatment only lasted about 10mins on each leg which was music to my ears as it was incredibly painful. Upon telling Wendy, the one working on me, that it was painful, she just giggled and said it was b/c i had so much fat there! She told me about 10 tens from start to finish about how my thighs had "so much" fat and cellulite. RUDE!

Then the warming cream settled in and omg it burned and burned and 2 hours affter leaving the salon, it still BURNS! Feels like the worst sunburn of my life.

Upon leaving, Wendy tried to have me purchase a series of treatments which she said I really could use b/c of all the "fat" - I declined politely and then she said "so this whole session was just a waste of my time, huh?!" I AM OUTRAGED!

I will be leaving a review with living social as well... wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

I recommend this spa to all my UWS neighbors.. With one look, Katherine diagnosed my needs the moment I walked in the door. I recommend this spa to all my UWS neighbors. I feel this is an authentic asian treatment center that incorporates the pamper spa experience everyone expects from a NY Spa. Enjoy!

A relaxing facial. I booked the face and neck muscle toning facial, which includes a collagen mask. I wanted a relaxing facial which would leave me glowing and it did.

The staff is professional.. since moving , I was doubtful to find another spa where I could continue to have my Brazilian done. Then I found Yin Beauty Spa . Not only are the staff professional, they are all friendly too! I'm always greeted with a warm smile as soon as I walk in the door. I've grown comfortable with their aesthetician.

Fabuluos treatment.. I get many microdermabrasion usually looking for specials on it. The best one I received from Yin spa . She gave me a fabulous treatment . after micro than she used something soothing to calm down my skin- she said to prevent inflammation and discoloration. My skin looked clean, clear and glowing. My discolorations from previous blemishes lighten a lot. she give me three mask for use after treatment She said my skin will look more batter in 3 days

I love this place!. I love this place! would move back to NYC just to be able to get katherine's treatments weekly. I initially found it through lifebooker and I got hooked on the slimming treatments and her special facials. Katherine is the best, She changed the shape of my knees like no other specialist, and I have seen a lot of them between LA and NY. Everyone there is very kind and friendly and they go out of their way to fit me into their busy schedule when I am in town. I get results and that's what it is all about!

Yin is incredible. Just recently, my husband and I booked facials . our experience were oustanding and definitely time well spent.

Services at Yin beauty has always been worth my money, so I will continue to come back

Yin FTW. When I started going to Ruth for mani/pedi, my hands were a MESS from the cheap place I was originally going to.  My cuticles were raw and the skin around my nails was dry and peeling.  In 5 short weeks Ruth changed all that and now my nails are actually growing.  This place is clean and there are only two chairs for mani/pedi.  It is not a factory.  And Ruth is sweet as can be.
