One of a kind jewelry!. I'd heard about Kokopelli through a friend years ago and heard they had great jewelry so when I was down in Soho I found the spot - it has a new name now- but the jewelry is fantastic! Layman was really helpful and I found a few cute pieces I may pick up for Mother's Day. The great thing is that I know NOBODY will have what my mom has...isn't that great! Go check them out!
Native American treasures at affordable prices..
The Scene
Kokopelli, the humpback flutist that represents the Native American trickster god of fertility, music and good luck, is the namesake for this gold and silver mine of Native American jewelry. The staff undergo weeks of training before they're deemed versed enough to sell the store's unique collection, and their astonishing fluency in the craft makes a visit to the store surprisingly educational.
The Goods
The wide range of one-of-a-kind earrings, bolo ties and belt buckles showcases a dazzling array of stones like turquoise, coral and lapis. To keep prices low, Kokopelli's owners buy their goods directly from the artists instead of working through price-jacking purveyors.
