“Great prices on MacBooks.”
I stopped over for a bracket to install my new TV on the wall and the sales help did not even want to be bothered with me. It was obvious that they were only interested in selling big ticket items and that the smaller item shoppers would have to self-help. I had not had that issue before so I was surprised.
We sought out the large "on sale" bracket only to discover it was sold out. When we asked where the brackets were a salesman waved an arm in the general direction and we were forced to get on our hands and knees to find it through shelves of other items. FINALLY...we bought the largest they had on hand for the TV set and took it to the register only to discover it was 300 dollars.
I headed to look at the IPAD and got zero help from the staff there. They did nothing to speak about the product I wanted to see (which they REFUSED TO SHOW ME) and were dismissing every person who needed help in that department. Both techs were tied to the computers on their own agendas. Obviously they need to replace those sales people if they want to make higher profits.
Well, we needed the bracket so we took it home only to get nagged by our friends and told to return it as it was over-priced. Their nagging turned me into an internet search where I discovered the same item was available for 79 dollars elsewhere. 100 with shipping.
We paid cash. When we returned it they tried to give us a store credit which we refused to accept. After a manager got involved they found a way to give us the cash back. That should not have happened either.
My suggestion? When a company is selling a TV for 1200 dollars and then charging you 25% of its price for the wall attachment so you can WATCH IT, there is something wrong. Make sure you seek out all needed parts FIRST so that you cannot get duped into a rip-off situation later. Better to pay less from the get-go than to have store-brought-on drama. Life is too short to waste on these incidents.
