Successful medical billing specialist. I would like to thank Manhattan Institute for making me a successful medical billing and coding specialist and helping me in finding the best job opportunities for myself.
Finished the EKG and Phlebotomy Combination class.
Finished the EKG and Phlebotomy Combination class. I enrolled in both because they offered a discount. My friend a Nurse for many years advised me that it is hard to get a job with only EKG.
There were more students in the Phlebotomy class then the EKG class. In both classes we practiced on each other. Besides learning how to perform an EKG, you also practice on your fellow classmates. One plus is that you get an EKG for free! I brought in my Dad as a volunteer who also reviewed a free EKG. The Phlebotomy class is interesting. You learn how to draw blood on a fake arm, then we practiced on each other, with the teacher supervising.
Bottom line, I was very satisfied with my training. Everyone in my class was satisfied as well. The last class we had a small party, we all made different dishes, and it was a lot of fun.
I would recommend the Manhattan Institute which is located in New York, NY, to anyone interested in pursuing
a career in allied health and nursing. They offer short-term, specialized classes in Allied Health and
Medical areas. This includes programs for the ollowing types of careers: Medical billing, Phlebotomist
Technicians, Pharmacy Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistants, EKG technician, Patient Care Technicians,
Medical Assistants, and Dialysis Technicians.
