Great Hotel. This hotel was perfect, the location was close to everything and we had an amazing time. The people working there are very nice and like to help you in any way possible. The room was pretty nice and it was a good size. The bathroom was pretty big. Our hotel room was always clean and was always perfect when we came back at night.
Very happy with Omni.
Very nice and clean hotel. Lobby not opulent but very happy with room. Note we did get upgrade to an Executive Room which I think helped with size of room. Register in their guest select program on line and it might help with upgrade during a slower time.
Big room, nice bedding, nice bathroom. Not much of view but you're just facing other buildings on 52nd street.
Service was very good. Very friendly. Concierge service was probably the weakest of all. We had a compliementary beverage service in morning and coffee was great.
Nice location. Not as hectic as Times Square if you want to be a little from that. Walking distance to Rockefeller Center, St. patrick, Trump Tower. Not too far to Times Square in one direction and Central Park in another.
Still an expensive place so if you can snag a deal, go for it.
A landmark Midtown hotel built in 1926..
The Scene
After a $70-million renovation that refurbished all the fabrics and burnished the marble floors and honey-toned paneling, this hotel glows. Add to that impeccable service, and this becomes a superb place to stay amongst all the area's competition.
The Details
The 396 rooms with marble bathrooms are spacious, airy and comfortable. They are furnished in Regency style. Standard amenities include bedside electronic controls for lighting, temperature and audiovisual components, plus fax machines and three dual-line phones with data ports. Terry bathrobes, shaving/makeup mirrors and hair dryers add extra comfort. Kokachin, the hotel's restaurant, serves Mediterranean-Asian fusion cuisine in an elegant setting. The Atrium Court is more casual for light meals and cocktails.
Romantic Evening Venue. My wife and I tried the Omni's romantic rendevous package out for our weekend getaway. Overall, we enjoyed it greatly. The room was as large as our friend's NY apartment and quite nice. We enjoyed the terrycloth robes provided and the breakfast passes (although if they weren't included in the package, breakfast would have been really overpriced). The turndown service never appeared for some reason, but I guess it didn't matter.
very nice stay. i actually found a quiet room in NYC! it was great. the beds are very comfortable, though the TV is very small. the little pannel that controls all your lights and clock is pretty cool. the decor is nice & peaceful. nice bathroom. everything is small, but supposedly large for NYC. convenient to everything - especially a great (and fast) breakfast place across the street. the staff is ok... they didn't much care that people were smoking on the non smoking floor (they "couldn't smell it") and they also accidently charged me like $800 6 months after my reservation which was a pain to reverse...otherwise good.
attentive service. The service staff, concierge and management are attentive to the needs and expectations of their guests.
Essence of New York. The Omni is truly one of NY's great hotels...and as they always say..."location, location, location!" Right around the corner from Cartier, this hotel makes you feel rich and famous-even if you're not. Great weekend specials for out-of-towners and the staff is quite friendly and accomodating. One of the only drawbacks: the bar and restaurant are foolishly expensive- go around the corner to have breakfast!
The Best. Everytime we come into the city for the weekend, 3-4 times a year, we stay at the Omni. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is excellent and the location is ideal. Your stay here wi;; definately be the best!!
