Tips for Brian D. Perskin - Divorce & Family Attorney at Law

Not a lot of lawyers have experience with lesbian divorce, but apparently this firm does. When I went in to talk about my case, Brian let me know that he thinks my divorce can be fast and straightforward. Now I’m not dreading it so much. His staff was pleasant, which was a plus.

Once my business took off, my wife finally decided to turn our brief separation into divorce. I assume it’s because of what she stands to get. I’m not worried anymore after my meeting with my new attorney Brian. I have a good idea of what the judge will say to my soon to be ex wife, and it’s not good for her!

we just came to this firm to get a prenup before we got married. So I don’t have experience with a divorce here, but I could tell Brian Perskin was professional and patient with clients. I’m glad we got this done in case anything ever happens, and I am even happier we got it done here.

prenup help!. My husband and I came to this firm to get a prenup. The process was easier than I thought it would be. We were in and out pretty fast, and Brian’s staff was friendly right off the bat. I just wanted to say I was happy with the experience as a whole, and I feel confident that our prenup will be legally binding should ever need to use it.

Helped me keep my money. I thought my wife would automatically get the kids, the house, and all my money. But Brian D Perskin assured me that wasn’t always true, and to fight for my stuff. I went to court and ended up with most of the stuff I wanted to keep, along with joint custody of my children. It’s possible to get the results you want. I think you jus need the right lawyer!

Safe Horizons. A great friend of mine is being represented by him and I felt compelled to write a review, for the sake of others that might be in her type of situation.

He represents himself as an advocate of "victims of domestic violence". He's not qualified.

Otherwise, if getting money out of your divorce is what you want, then go for it. It's a fair concern for him to have for his clients. But it's not what people like her need the most, Money is not necessarily always the issue at hand and it takes a qualified IPV attorney specialist to understand the needs of their client.

It includes empathy. And returning important phone calls.

Call Safe Horizons. They know the deal. You are not alone.

An attorney who like to practice law.. I needed an attorney who was local and who new the ins and outs of the local family court. Right away Brian seemed to be that person. He is very smart and knows the law. I had gone to a very fancy and expensive Manhattan lawyer the year before in hopes of getting my child support changed. They told me it was going to be difficult and expensive to achieve.

When I met with Brian Perskin at his Brooklyn Heights office which was super convenient for me and near every train imaginable, I could tell he understood the language of my stipulation with my ex-husband the way I understood it. A year later with a lot of patience on my part and a lot of confidence on Brian's part my child support payment went up 5 times the original amount.

His staff was professional and really nice. I often worked in their office putting together my evidence. We were a great team and we had a great team leader, Brian Perskin.

Generous, Attentive, and Reliable. Mr. Perskin was incredibly helpful and generous from the start. I contacted him after seeing him in court. He took the time to speak with me on the phone for quite a while. We then arranged a meeting at his office where he was (again) attentive and (unlike some lawyers) did not let his cell or office phone interrupt our meeting. I was grateful to finally have someone listen to me and my concerns about my divorce (primarily custody of my daughter). Mr. Perskin explained all of my options thoroughly in a manner that helped to alleviate my anxiety. He was unassuming, unpretentious, and so personable that I felt like I was speaking to an old friend rather than someone that I had known for less than an hour. I recommend Mr. Perskin to anyone who is getting a divorce and needs an advocate . Hewill not drag things out for his own selfish purposes ($$$). He's a mensch!

Pros: Knowledgeable, empathic, straight-shooter, savvy

Peace of Mind!. I would say 'Peace of mind' is the best way to describe Mr. Brian. I am in the military and i got a divorce notice from my ex through mail when i was stationed abroad. The only way to deal with the divorce in NY was to find a lawyer who would respond and deal online. I searched a lot of lawyers, sent emails to them to discuss my case. but 90% of them either didn't reply or requested my presence in their office. But Mr. Brian was immediate to respond and to place his cards on the table. he was quick to take up the matter although he demanded a fee of $2500 for the complete settlement. I agreed. and that is it! He sent me an agreement and i signed it and sent it back.

no headache, nothing afterwards i got my Divorce Judgement from him recently.

However, the reason why i didn't give him 5 stars was because he seemed to have forgotten to claim my laptop and personal belongings from the plaintiff, which of course was of negligible amount but was mentioned in the initial agreement paper with him and he cleverly avoided replying through mail for my inquiries about that until i recently called him and he confirmed that it should be regarded as Gone!

But i can pardon him for that since he managed to secure some waivers from the plaintiff for an equal amount of my losses. but my protests are still there about his silence on the matter. Other than that it was a perfect outcome.

since the benefits outweigh the negatives, i believe he is gentle and cunning a lawyer should be. and perhaps he is the best to deal online.

he talks cool and his staff are very good at phone.
