Can't Wait to go Back!
by gabryellaladare
Last weekend I stumbled across a Boychick ad in Time Out Magazine, so I decided to check it out. When I first got to the Times Square Arts Center, I was greeted by outrageous people, one of whom kept asking me, Do you know where my son is? This woman was so real, I immediately felt involved in the story of this show. We traveled from one room to another, allowing us to interact with more than one character. Every actor was astonishingly talented, never breaking his/her character. The Dinner was great - I went on Sunday where we were served Kosher Chinese. I asked about Saturday's meal, which is traditional chicken, rice, beans, and salad. When I return, I will go on Saturday night. I sat with Bobby Grossman and his family during the party, who had me crying with laughter. Next time, I'd like to sit with Soraii and the Grandma. Check it out! You will love it. You will dance, you will shout, you will eat, and you will be grateful that your family isn't nearly as dysfunctional as this one!
- Pros: Constant Interaction between the cast and the audience
- Cons: Cash Bar
The Boychick Affair!
by BigRobtheActor
Join Times Square's most entertainingly eclectic and neurotically engaging family since the Addams's while you share in the joy of their eldest son Harry's voyage in to manhood through the ancient and holy ritual of the Bar-Mitzva! Come laugh, dance, eat, drink, flirt, pray and go completely wild with the Boychick's and the Grossman's as secrets are revealed, plots thicken, boundaries are smashed and a good time, a great time that you'll never forget is had by all. Mazal Tov Yo, let's rock the house!
- Pros: Wonderfully alive, incredibly fun and totally interactive!
Unbelievably fun!!
