This place sucks! Staff extremely rude, on Saturday I brought a client of mine to eat there,kKeep in mind that I am Brazilian. I ordered the feijoada, it was the most discusting think I ever tried, cold, fake feijoada, tiny portions, pricey. The waiter dropped food on the table and disappeared. My guest ordered the the skirt steak, it was dried, an ugly presentation, at the end the overcharged us for the drinks. Everything in this place is horrible, who ever is writing good review is lying, I am pretty sure that the owner is writing them.
Avoid it as much as you can.
AWFUL SERVICE

We made a reservation days in advance. A few hours before the owner called and said to "be on time" We were. After an hour and into the meal the waiter said "the computer is broken so you have to pay cash" and "you have to leave because another party is waiting."
- Pros: OK Food
- Cons: Customers Treated Like Dirt
Great lunch menu - totally worth taking your full lunch hour
by biggmakk64 at Citysearch
I've passed by Deborah for years. Never paid attention to it. A friended insisted on having lunch there. I'm glad he did. Cozy, comfortable with great service. I had the Veggie Burger - the best I've ever had. Served on foccacia it was not the usual mashed-soy-grain-bomb that I usually end up getting. Totally original; not sure exactly what it was made from. Anyway, delicious with the chipotle mayo. Bass Ale on tap. Window seat. Perfect way to spend a weekday lunch. The prices aren't low but the portions are mighty. I cannot comment on the other things on the lunch menu but I'm sure they're pretty good.
- Pros: Food, service, decor
- Cons: small, not cheap
Don't Listen to the Haters. Go To Deborahs. You'll Love It.

I am surprised and a bit offended by the recent bad reviews for this, my favorite restaurant in the city. I guess the bright side is that it will keep some people away and keep Deborah the best kept secret in Manhattan. I have been there for Bruch, Lunch, and Dinner, and every time was fantastic. Brunch is a bit hurried, but that happens at all small brunch places worth eating at in NYC. This ain't IHOP or Denny's and they don't have tons of tables. The Mac and Cheese bests any other, and the Huevos Rancheros cannot be beat (or even found for that matter) anywhere else in the universe. BEST RESTAURANT EVER!
- Pros: Tasty, unique food.
- Cons: Busy at times
Great Chef! Best Personal Service!

Wonderful atmosphere, red, lush and warm feeling. Has an imaginative menu with lots to offer in the area of tasty flavor and all the breakfast/brunch dishes we were served came out looking so artistic, the presentation was unexpectedly well thoughtout. Healthy portions and healthy ingredients accompany an all-together satisifying dinning experience. Great place to take that special someone on a date!!
- Pros: Romantic, inventive menu, healthy ingredients & poritions! Memorable staff!
- Cons: on the smallish side, long narrow dining space (this could be a PRO too, very initimate feeling)
