Standard ladies-who-lunch fare.. Shoppers from nearby Bergdorf's and Bloomingdale's are the audience for this not especially distinctive French brasserie in the Renaissance Hotel. While the promotion is all about casual drop-ins and approachable cooking, this is in fact an unreconstructed midtown French restaurant, with white tablecloths, a menu filled with dishes like poached salmon, foie gras terrine and rack of lamb, and a decidedly un-hip clientele. The customers are likely to be from out of town or an older East Side crowd that doesn't especially want innovation, and veteran restaurateurs Andre Blech and Frederick Lesort have been around long enough to know it.
