With waitresses in slinky black dresses serving creative cocktails to a mix of hipsters and suit-wearing execs fresh off the job, this Rockefeller Center bar and lounge (located inside the McGraw Hill building) brings a bit of downtown chic to midtown. Adorned with luxe details including plush banquettes and a ceiling decorated with Swarovski crystals, it’s no surprise that premium liquor-packed drinks like the Limoncello Drop (made with Ketel One vodka and Cointreau) cost upwards of $15 a pop. But if your boss is buying, bottoms up!

upscale place with top notch service

The place in gorgeous, mixed crowd, upscale furniture with great service. The prices are pricey but it's what you would expect for the neighborhood. I loved the food - bite size so eat before you get there, lol. The bottles aren't too too expensive.

The staff is great - very attentive. I went with a mid-size group for my birthday and I talked via phone and e-mail with their staff to coordinate my outting and they were very receptive and responded quickly to answer all my questions.

Great date spot also because it's intimate.

Absolute chic and hip after work hangout place!

2 of my girlfriends and I decided to try this place out couple of weeks ago after reading great reviews about it and I must say this place was amazing. Great drinks, very chic and sexy atmosphere with a great touch of class and great hospitality. The evening that we were there, we ended up sitting at the next table to the owner, his wife and their friends and they were very friendly, nice people. Definetely a place everyone should check out - crowd is very classy, place is happening and the drinks are great! I am going back again very soon with friends!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!

I work around midtown and there has been NO PLACE that can offer a cool, laid back but sexy environment for a drink and some tasty food! I love having this as my go-to spot to invite all of my girlfriends for an after work libation, or a pre-club hang!

This has quickly become my favorite new spot in Manhattan, as I'm probably there a little too much! ;)

I love Forty Eight Lounge! It always has the best crowds and music! Plus you cannot beat the atmosphere! I love to come here and sip on drinks all night long!!!
