Very reliable moving services

We moved for the first time in 7 years. Downsized from a large home in Glen Ridge to an apartment in Boston. Looked on Citysearch and Service Magic for suggestions and Starcity had great reviews. Talked with a Moishes representative but Starcity was way friendlier and more reasonable. Brianne sold us. Glad she did.

Felix and crew arrived as scheduled and took over. They were extremely professional and guided us through the process. After 7 years in the same house we accumulated "lots" of stuff. They helped us separate the items needed for the apartment and the items they are storing for a year.

Key thing for us was trust, Felix,Brianne and the guys always made us feel great about our decision to work with them. Customer Service shows in all they do. We know we will use them for our next move in a year. Highly recomend them and they will make the move easier.

No brainer-awesome team!

I just moved into my new house on April 30th. I was a very worrisome first time home buyer. I had nightmares about all things going wrong (which some did) but thankfully not the move. I sent StarCity a quote request and got a call and a quote right away. Not only were they the first to reply to me, but they seemed very reliable and detail-oriented. It was a no brainer. I kept emailing them to make sure everything was okay, and they very patiently responded each time.

On the day of the move, they were supposed to be there between 8&9am. I was up, ready, and anxiously waiting. Rolando and his crew showed up around 8:30 and by 10:30 everything was all loaded in the truck. They were gentle with the things that needed care and asked questions when in doubt.

Somethings in my basement were in the wrong area, but they moved it all to the other side without hesitation, when I asked. And by 1pm the whole move was complete- dismantling furniture, wrapping it up, driving to the new house, unloading, unwrapping and putting everything back together.

I highly recommend them, moving is stressful, hire these guys and make it a breeze.

Nice job!!

I called StarCity Moving about a month before I had to move out to get a quote and also to get a feel of how they operate. I was happy with all the information given to me on the phone, and I immediately booked them to move us from a 1st floor apartment to a 3rd floor.

A few days before my move, I received a call from them to confirm my move date and they reminded me that the movers would give us a call when they were on their way on the day of the move.

On the day of the move I received a call from the movers around 8:15am saying they were on their way. They arrived at our apartment approximately 20 minutes later and started working right away. We had 3 guys and 1 truck to move us. They were very professional, polite and courteous throughout our move despite the fact that it was raining that morning. It took around 3 hours to get everything disassembled, wrapped, and out of our apartment. Nothing was broken as they had taken the time to properly wrap and handle everything.

In the end we were very happy that we used StarCity Moving and would definitely use them again in the future!!

Highly recommended

Moved 3 bedrooms from Montclair to Hackensack. The movers were prompt, courteous, and fun to work with! Guys did a great job wrapping my furniture well and handling everything with care. Arrived on time at the loading dock in Hackensack and brought up everything to the unit in a jiffy. Highly recommended!!!!

Quick & efficient

In short, they are the best movers I have ever hired and I highly recommend them.

I hired them to unload my 26 foot Penske truck, that I drove up from Virginia, to my new house. I setup the appointment via phone conveniently. I got an accurate and very competitive estimate of the cost based on the detailed description of my stuff. On the day of the move the guys arrived right on time. They were just great. They moved and assembled my furniture in record time with zero damage. They catered to every request or change of mind I had regarding the placement of furniture and were extremely courteous and professional. It felt like getting a few friends together to help with the move, only more professional and efficient. Keep up the good work guys!
