Rolandol, David and Rigo helped us move out of our apartment in the Manhattan to our new condo in Jersey City, NJ. They were hard working and worked very quickly. Carlos helped us coordinate the move and was readily available and easy to communicate with.

Everything arrived at the condo in perfect condition. But what really impressed is that they reassembled our bed without us having to ask. Maybe this is standard but we really appreciated it. They also helped us transport donations to the Goodwill

All in all, we were quite pleased with the whole experience, especially for the price. Thank you Starcity!

Absolute SCAM ARTISTS. They bad mouthed another moving company so that i would go with them, The RIPPED ME OFF I was quoted an all inclusive rate of $375.00 (for 5 hours of moving) and was later charged $1180.00 (for 3.5 hours of moving). Items moved (locally) included: clothing (I packed), 2 mirrors, and a TV. No bed, no couch. Not until after they loaded my belongings into their truck and drove to my new apartment did they present me with the bill and tell me they wouldn't unload until I paid in full and in cash, only. Additional charges STAR CITY MOVERS creatively invented included: 2 hours of travel time - "Their" travel time back to their warehouse, after my move was complete. An Elevator Fee. (Would it have been cheaper if my building were a walk-up? ...Sarcasm...) One "Other" Fee, which was never explained to me and a Packing Material Fee. NONE of which were justified.they arrived 2 hours late, the morning of the move, and when they did finally start to unload, the movers left the truck open and unattended with my belongings scattered all over the sidewalk for, what I witnessed, at least 15 minute intervals. To top it all off, the driver refuse to give me a copy of the contract and bill... Quote: "Find a copier and pay for your own copies." The people working for this company are incredibly sad. I feel for them - that they have no idea, the difference between right and wrong, and that they must take something really strong, just to be able to sleep at night. Lawsuits - Here they come...

These guys are awesome. They quote a flat rate up front and abide by what they say the rate will be. They are also very flexible, and even were ok with showing up to the pick up location late at night.

My situation was further complicated by Hurricane Sandy. The guys could have easily rescheduled, but they waited out the lines for fuel and the traffic, and got me moved on time. All my belongings were in the condition they were picked up, and they even assembled my bed and dresser, which I felt was above and beyond. Best of all, they were professional, very responsive, and on time. Anyone needing a move in the tri-state area should use these guys!

First time using movers and everything went great. They arrived on time and moved everything very quickly. Even putting together my bed and anything else that was disassembled. Very professional and one of the best prices in the area. Would recommend to anyone.

Had a great moving experience with Starcity Moving out of an apartment in Hoboken NJ to a public storage unit. The guys who helped me move were friendly, efficient and the type of guys who I wish I was friends with so they could help me move for free. Positive attitude and much more pleasant than other movers I have encountered.

Everything went as planned and they packed my storage unit like a Trader Joe's bag. I was impressed that they managed to fit everything in. They roll in a pretty cool truck too.

I first call and get a quote and I like what I hear so I agree to it. They call me back in 10 minutes to say there was a "glitch" in the system and that day I want to move is actually more expensive by ($50 bucks). Since I could only book that day I accept it. They call me back again to say that the system had another error and that it is more. I said forget it- I'm not paying that amount. My contact talked to his manager and was able to keep the price of his second quote so I again agreed to the service.

I signed their paperwork and sent it back. Today is the big moving day and THEY NEVER EVEN SHOW UP. I sat around for 3.5 hours. I called and no one picked up. I sent an email and they said they will be here shortly. Then after 3 hours of waiting I get another email saying their was a "glitch" in their computer system and I wasn't scheduled to move today. Oh and by the way we are sorry- Can we reschedule you for another day??? Are you freaking kidding me. Horrible customer service, no follow up. Shady business all around. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy! I'm surprised they are even in business. Do yourself a favor... don't call them or better yet move your own stuff yourself.

Very reliable moving services. We moved for the first time in 7 years. Downsized from a large home in Glen Ridge to an apartment in Boston. Looked on Citysearch and Service Magic for suggestions and Starcity had great reviews. Talked with a Moishes representative but Starcity was way friendlier and more reasonable. Brianne sold us. Glad she did.

Felix and crew arrived as scheduled and took over. They were extremely professional and guided us through the process. After 7 years in the same house we accumulated "lots" of stuff. They helped us separate the items needed for the apartment and the items they are storing for a year.

Key thing for us was trust, Felix,Brianne and the guys always made us feel great about our decision to work with them. Customer Service shows in all they do. We know we will use them for our next move in a year. Highly recomend them and they will make the move easier.

No brainer-awesome team!. I just moved into my new house on April 30th. I was a very worrisome first time home buyer. I had nightmares about all things going wrong (which some did) but thankfully not the move. I sent StarCity a quote request and got a call and a quote right away. Not only were they the first to reply to me, but they seemed very reliable and detail-oriented. It was a no brainer. I kept emailing them to make sure everything was okay, and they very patiently responded each time.

On the day of the move, they were supposed to be there between 8&9am. I was up, ready, and anxiously waiting. Rolando and his crew showed up around 8:30 and by 10:30 everything was all loaded in the truck. They were gentle with the things that needed care and asked questions when in doubt.

Somethings in my basement were in the wrong area, but they moved it all to the other side without hesitation, when I asked. And by 1pm the whole move was complete- dismantling furniture, wrapping it up, driving to the new house, unloading, unwrapping and putting everything back together.

I highly recommend them, moving is stressful, hire these guys and make it a breeze.

Nice job!!. I called StarCity Moving about a month before I had to move out to get a quote and also to get a feel of how they operate. I was happy with all the information given to me on the phone, and I immediately booked them to move us from a 1st floor apartment to a 3rd floor.

A few days before my move, I received a call from them to confirm my move date and they reminded me that the movers would give us a call when they were on their way on the day of the move.

On the day of the move I received a call from the movers around 8:15am saying they were on their way. They arrived at our apartment approximately 20 minutes later and started working right away. We had 3 guys and 1 truck to move us. They were very professional, polite and courteous throughout our move despite the fact that it was raining that morning. It took around 3 hours to get everything disassembled, wrapped, and out of our apartment. Nothing was broken as they had taken the time to properly wrap and handle everything.

In the end we were very happy that we used StarCity Moving and would definitely use them again in the future!!
