How sweet it is to live in New York. We make abandoned elevated rail lines into strolling parks wonderful for meditative walking and talking. The views are fantastic -- take your tourists and guests here. Grab food at Delaney Barbecue on the High Line near the 14th Street entrance.

Take a walk on the wild side: old West Side train tracks turned into elevated walking path, w/landscaping, art & at times entertainment.

Great for a walk. Love the High Line - kudos to the neighborhood activists that preserved and developed this little treasure. Great place for a walk with awesome views of the city!

This was a really cool experience. The high line is a really cool place to walk and explore the city from another view, I think it is such a great use of space, its peaceful and interesting to see how the old trains would go through the middle of buildings.

It's such a great place to enjoy a stroll with a coffee... I would certainly recommend,

BeautifulRailroad-turned Artwork/Park. High Line is such a great concept. It turns abandoned old rail tracks into modern day green in-the-air park. There are even beach recliners where you could enjoy sun bath. Or you could simply walk down the trail and enjoy the view of west side.

If you are a couple, you should definitely come here! What a romantic and fun place to visit.

A mile-and-a half long elevated park on the West Side.. Once a former railway track, the High Line runs through the Meatpacking District (where the freights used to deliver meat), Chelsea (where they dropped off agricultural goods to warehouses) and lower midtown (where the trains brought mail to the Post Office). Now, the High Line is a public park that combines lush greenery, concrete pathways and even wooden lounge chairs. It's a unique experience and the perfect activity for locals and tourists alike.
