Dead!. Went there this Friday at around 11:30 and it was dead. Completely. So much so the bartender laughed when we walked in. All of you Citysearch people who gave this place high ratings, quick question: Are you sure you were in the right place or do you just not like to socialize with others?

HAD A GREAT TIME, WILL BE BACK!. Since I live nearby, I've been to Batista a few times now. This is the place to be on the Lower East Side if you want to drop all pretense and hang out in a casual, relaxed spot with an authentic vibe that offers good music, friendly staff and a buoyant crowd. I've met many interesting people there. The crowds reflect the diversity of New York. I will definitely be back...

THE NEW PLACE IN THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS. Batista's has this atmosphere of welcome that your not just at a BAR having a drink amoung strangers.. its more like be amoung friends and family..

With a varity of different Dj's that come and give you a taste of music for you to endure..

word saw matt dillon at this awesome hip spot. so i saw MATT Dillon playing congas with the band here. how cool. and they have great drinks. went for a friends party. awesome.

I love this Place!!. I was out with some friends the other night and they took me to Batista. I live a few blocks over and I had no idea this place existed! I am so happy they brought me here because I loved it! It was so cozy inside! The staff was friendly and the drinks were so cheap. We danced all night until the bar closed! No one wanted to leave!!! I cannot wait to come back!!

best apple martini ever!!. My girls and I went to this place prior to our girls night. I was so impressed with the service and the drink menu! I would recommend this place to all. Unfortunately its out of the way for me. oh well... I'll find myself there this wkend.

Sexy Spot!. Had a great time. Love that it is hidden! Almost feels like a steal that we found this place. Bring a date here, you will not be dissapointed. The atmosphere will make you seem like a GOD among men... Good luck, play boy...

Great but Creepy!!!!. I arrived at Batista this past Saturday for a friends Bday party. The space is very cozy comfy and the music was great. the staff was very friendly. The only issue i had with the place was the lack of booze, and problems with them accepting credit cards midway through the evening. On a cold and rainy night i was told to go to the atm to get cash because the machine was broken. There was also a guy that i was that he was the owner that was so creepy. I dont know what he was on, but it made for a very uncomfy night when he popped in. Overall, i had fun and will be back. Beware of the jacked up creepy guy. Oh yeah, it is close to trick or treat. Iguess he got his treats early..

Awesome place. Batista's is in a class by itself. DJ is great, music is awesome, something for everyone whether it be hip hop, rock, old school. Crowd is versatile as well as the bartenders - very friendly, very cool. Will definitely be back.

Great times. Great place. No cover charge, drinks at reasonable prices, and the DJ was off the hook. I found my new favorite place to party in lower manhattan. Cant wait for the weekend.
