What People Are Saying About The Mott

Brian Murphy, formerly of the Blue Plate in San Francisco, serves up fresh, seasonal dishes at this narrow, charming Little Chitaly eatery. The restaurant’s white-painted brick walls and neutral leather accents make the space feel more expansive than its 38 seats suggest--just as the abbreviated menu belies the bold flavors coming out from the kitchen. Ingredient-focused dishes include crispy pork belly with figs, tender sweet corn ricotta gnocchi and sea scallops topped with tasty Heirloom tomatoes.

The food at The Mott is delicious! i had the arugula salad with duck confit, grapes and pistacios- the dressing is nice and creamy. For my entree I had the duck- you will want to drink the sauce on the plate! For dinner I had the warm chocolate cake which was a perfect end to a yummy meal! If you like BYOB go quick before they start serving wine!

Sad attempt at a restaurant

by RestaurantLover

I just ate there, food was ok. Service was terrible and overall experience was worse. Not what I would call 4 stars, I have no idea why citysearch has it listed as such. My recommendation would be to turn it into a clothing store or something, they can't serve alcohol anyway.

  • Pros: has potential
  • Cons: poorly executed

4 stars.

This is a quality restaurant with delicious dishes. It is $$, in a funky part of town, but the food and service and decor were all 4-5 stars. No-hassle attitude nice too.

  • Pros: ricotta gnocchi, roast chicken
  • Cons: no booze
