American and Norwegian grub feeds hungry Columbia students..
The owners behind Levana and the now defunct Cafe des Artistes have turned the former Radio Perfecto space--a favorite haunt of Columbia students--into this eclectic Morningside Heights bar and eatery (pronounced “Hawkins Hall”), open late. And while the somewhat scattered menu offers fun, tasty home-style “TV dinners”--including Yankee pot roast and a Thanksgiving platter, along with standard pub fare like burgers and salads--the stewed Norwegian dishes (consisting of everything from smoked salmon to pork loin to herring) are the best bets.
