“Leslie was great, she really listened to what I wanted and went over a variety of options so I could decide what worked best for me and my budget.”
Danny Garcia Otero. Danny Garcia Otero, my stylist for six years, is moving to Besu Salon and Day Spa located at 234 Third Avenue between 19th Street and 20th Street. The telephone number for the salon is 212-420-6565. Definitely follow Danny, he's the best!!
Best Brazilian Wax!. Ladies... If you are looking for the best wax in NYC here it is! Her name is Theresa!!! I have followed her here after seeing her for over 9 years at the Jsisters Salon. Fast, painless, and not a hair left. Simply the BEST!
Love Danielle @ Capelli. A friend of mine purchased a promo deal and bought me one as well. My stylist was Danielle. I love this salon, and I REALLY love how the way Danielle does my hair. She is fantastic with both cuts and color. After moving to New York, I went through 4 stylists at 3 salons before I found Danielle. I would highly recommend Danielle to anyone looking for superb cuts and color, especially if you have fine hair and like lots of textured layers to add volume. To me, it's worth paying a little extra to look and feel great.
LOVE Capelli D'Oro 5th Ave Salon. LOVE, LOVE, Capelli D'Oro salon! I bought 2 promotions discount gift certificates on SpaTreats website for new customers I got them for 80% off the price! Literally saved a lot of money. I received an amazing haircut from Leslie Correa. I cant wait to go back again! Thanks Capelli D'Oro & Spa Treats!!!
lacy telles. Lacy Telles is an exceptional stylists. She knows her stuff.Great hairstylist and colorist.Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to one of the best hairstylists in New York.
worst haircut ever. so i went for a haircut 3 days ago and i'm still crying... i have long straight flowy hair so u would think its easy to cut?! unfortunately not so easy at this place... i asked for a trim for my dead ends approximately 2-3 inches and left with 6 inches off my head... meanwhile before she started cutting i told her that i wanted to keep my hair fairly long which is now basically shoulder length (not long for a woman that had her hair down to her waist) then i asked for long layers that blend and ended up receiving an ugly blunt cut with uneven edges (can someone say betsey johnson) when i say uneven there is not even one strand on my head that is the same length.. it's so obvious my visually impaired grandmother can see it from a mile away... she had no real technique, first used scissors then the textured scissors ( that i hate since they make ur hair look like u have dead ends) and finally went back to the regular scissors snipping away at my ends with an angle... meanwhile the snipping was done at a different angle on each strand... she even realized how uneven and funky my hair looked trying to make small talk and whisking me out of the chair to the door... she was super scissor happy on my poor unexpected hair.... i'm sooooooo unhappy and want to cut my hair even and then add extensions... i know my hair will grow and its not the end of the world but everytime i look in the mirror i get angry and upset since i paid for this horrendous cut and even gave a 20% tip... i will never go back again...
Danielle rocks!.
I was so lucky to get my appointment with Danielle! She is so nice and cute! She really listened to what I was asking for, recreated a haircut from a picture 100% and my highlights never looked this natural.
However, all 4 stars belong to her, not to the salon... The owner was not friendly at all, the place could use a cleaning lady and more professional assistants...
Overall, it was a good promotion deal and Danielle made me look like a model. I will be back for her.
Hi Ulanka
Thank you for showing your appreciation for Danielle. She's an awesome person. I agree with you we are currently a little short handed because of the success of the promotion that you took advantage of & the new apprentices are currently being trained and getting better. I'm sorry if I seemed unfriendly, I usually give a glance and a smile to as many people as possible at the salon. I'm always admiring the great work my staff produces. Thank you for your feed back. If theres anything I can do to make your next visit better don't hesitate to call or send me an email.
Les
So not worth the wait!.
I booked a10 am appointment for a hair cut, scalp massage, gloss and single process color (a groupon deal). I had booked services with Randy because I read she was good with curly hair. After 15 minutes of wating for Randy I asked how much longer I was going to have to wait. At this point they hadn't even offered my a coffee, water or magazine. I was told she had someone come in with an emergency so I would have to continue to wait. At 30 minutes I asked again. After 40 minutes I had to ask if someone else could see me if Randy was unavailable. I was placed with someone who had only been working there a week or so Regina. Nice lady but didn't know what to do with my thick curly hair. She was super slow and didn't do a great job. My cut is super blunt and the dye job still leaves grays (I do a better job at home!)
It took so long to get started and I wasn't impressed with the services I didn't even bother asking them about the gloss or the scalp massage - just wanted to get out of there!
RANDY, RANDY, RANDY is Awesome!.
My first experience with Randy will not be my last!!. I received this haircut as a birthday gift from a friend who bought a Living Social deal, so neither of us knew what to expect. I called to schedule my appointment and asked for someone who cut curly hair. They booked me with Randy. From the moment I walked in she was very courteous and conversational. I felt very welcome. I showed her a picture of the cut I wanted, she explained to me why the style would look different with my hair, we agreed and she got to washing. My hair is jet black, however I have a streak of white hair that I like to wear naturally (I'm 28 btw). Randy told me I can use a shampoo to brighten the white!! I didn't even know you could do that! She used the shampoo and explained how it works and where I could buy if I chose (I bought the inexpensive shampoo that same day). To make this long story short, Randy has great personality, techniques she shares (which I use now and my hair looks the best it's ever looked!!!!) and has magic hands. Every other person that has cut my hair was intimidated by the amount of hair I have and the fact that it's curly, they would ALWAYS tell me they needed to straighten my hair in order to cut it. Finding Randy showed me otherwise! This was the first time I left a hair salon in my 28 years of life where I looked and felt fabulous AND my hair was CURLYYY!!!! I strutted down the street like nobody's business. Using Randy's curly hair technique is simple and easy and my hair looks great everyday.
Thanks Randy!!
Ask for Leslie!. I'm a New Yorker for 24 years now and I've been everywhere from bumble and bumble to Lisa Chiccine's small studio in Midtown. I sat in Leslie's chair briefly described the look I wanted and Leslie delivered perfectly. I love everything about my color and cut. The salon is also intimate and classy and, more importantly, it is not swarming with inexperienced, rude, baby stylists fresh out of a beauty academy.
