The movers were all very nice and everyone there has been extremely responsive. Overall, California New York was quite professional for our move to LA. Thanks!

I really liked the moving teams, and very much appreciated the estimate (and estimator) in NYC. There were, overall, a couple of issues, but everyone worked to resolve them, and to do so swiftly. I understand that moving is an imperfect science and a very stressful act, so i urge anyone moving to simply be as organized as they can be and to pack as thoroughly as they can. Keep track of what your boxes are, although, thankfully, CA/NY Express has a system!

But, although we had one damaged box (and should have purchased more in insurance), California NY Express has been nothing but super responsive in following up and in trying to take care of issues. I have heard so many horror stories, i am overall very happy. I plan on using them again when we move back to NYC in a few years.

We thought the NY team did an incredible job. They worked fast and efficiently. Even our building super of 30 years said he has never seen a better moving team. The foreman in particular, was excellent. He worked hard, and had a great attitude. During the week it took to drive our belongings cross-country, we really appreciated getting the email updates. When we received the call in Los Angeles that our things were ready to be delivered, we scheduled the move for the following morning. I asked the scheduler if there was any information i needed to provide about the move and was told "no". The morning the team arrived at our new house, they were dismayed to see that our house had a flight up the 1st floor and was on a narrow street. This set off the foreman, who was arrived in a distraught mood, and was threatening to walk off the job. The foreman called up his dispatcher on the phone asking why he wasn't made aware of the moving conditions. My husband had to calmy speak to the foreman so that he wouldn't leave and take our belongings hostage. Once the foreman was calmed down, we started receiving calls from the dispatcher who was just rude to my husband. But once the moving team started working, they worked really hard and we were were satisfied. None of boxes went missing or were broken, which pleased us. But I think that we would have preferred not to deal with the agitated and rude attitudes in LA. As a follow up to this review, the customer service immediately contacted us in response to our email review. They took care of us and compensated us for our difficulties.

We had a great experience with California New York Express for our cross-country move. A friend who also had a positive experience with them referred them to us and they did not disappoint. Their prices were very reasonable.

We moved two weeks after Hurricane Sandy and CA-NY was very understanding of logistical difficulties in the aftermath. They loaded our 1 bedroom apartment quite quickly were professional throughout the process. They also provided online tracking information while our boxes were in transit. The boxes arrived in CA in a reasonable amount of time (less than 2 weeks) despite the Thanksgiving holiday.

Two movers came to unload the shipment in California. One walked us through a detailed inventory to ensure each box was accounted for. The movers unloaded the boxes in much less time than we anticipated and were very friendly. Our only complaint would be that two wardrobe boxes were smushed on top upon arrival, but this was understandable given the nature of the boxes and the contents. We wouldn't let this deter us from using CA-NY in the future.

CA-NY Express's e-mail response was quick and extremely helpful. Their movers were professional and friendly on both ends of the shipment. Pretty much, they were the best and easiest part of my moving experience!

This company helped me with a big move from CA to NY right before Hurricane Sandy and they were extremely professional and helpful the entire time. We had two stops (one in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn) which i was worried about at first but once I saw how well everything was handled, I felt 100% comfortable and confident that I was getting top-notch service. All of my items delivered were completely intact and moved to the exact spots in my home that I had requested. Very responsive customer service as well! Would definitely recommend this to any of my friends who would need a similar service in the near future.

Total Fail! The movers did not show up. We had confirmed twice. When we called a half hour after the agreed-upon moving time, a person named Josh-who we had emailed several times before and who's name is listed on the contract, told us we hadn't confirmed! He had already re-routed the movers to another job (within a half hour!) and could not move us that day, leaving us in the lurch. WTF! Totally unprofessional. We believe this guy must be a broker or something, farming out jobs on the fly.

I used your company to move from NY-SF and again from SF back to NY. I think you're a fantastic company - fast, reliable, helpful, efficient, friendly, and careful/considerate of belongings! Plus I live on the 5th floor of a walkup and delivery only took 2 hours!

We used them to move from Los Angeles to New York. The movers were great, very efficient. Our boxes/furniture arrived undamaged, even amidst Hurricane Sandy. Their customer service number is very responsive and they provide constant email updates. We would definitely use California New York Express in the future!
