We cordially invite you to join us at The Capital Grille, located in the historic Equitable Building. Whether you're celebrating a special
anniversary in our unique vault dining room or taking a break from the hectic crowds of Wall Street, expect to be wined and dined. Our dry aged steaks have earned high praise from the nation's toughest food critics, and our seafood is flown in fresh from both shores. Our award-winning collection of over 350 wines is one of the most extensive cellars in Lower Manhattan.
We hope you will join us to dine on classically prepared fare in an atmosphere that is luxurious and relaxed. It would be our pleasure.

Great Service. The food is great but even better is the service. The waitress is very attentive. The ambiance is very ivy-league club like, wood everywhere. Leather seats. There is even some live jazz music but not sure if that is a every night thing. Most of the clientele seem like wall street/business type so somewhat stuffy feeling here.
A great place for a business meeting.
So the great thing about the Capital Grille is that recession-recmession - it's packed anyway! So if you've still got your job and you happen to work in finance, law, medicine, or anything else that pays, you've probably been here on a business meeting. If you haven't - then go!
There's a bar downstairs, and a restaurant upstairs - very classy, but personal touch. The waitress really was 'at your service' the whole time. Great selection of food and alcohol, atmosphere is classy but not stuffy. Haven't tried their 42nd street location, but I'm going to have to.
Don't forget to tip the coat-check people!
Terrific service, great food. I went there today with clients and was surprised by the terrific service and food. I had mentioned to the waitress that the temperature was a little warm and 5 minutes later the manager came over to apologize personally and to say they were working on it. They ended up comping our deserts, which was amazingly nice. The food was really good, but our server Merrily (that's her name) was the star.
Citysearch Editorial Review. The Wall Street outpost of a steak centric chain serves traditional American food and has an extensive wine list.
