Absolutely Recommended. My sister and i were desperately looking for custom made dresses (we were both bridesmaids at a wedding) and (for reasons behind our control) we had 2 weeks to find a dress maker AND get the dresses made. Georgia and her daughter were absolutely wonderful about it. They met with us on a bank holiday (the only day we could both go to the shop) and gave us ideas for the dresses. We got our dresses done in time, everybody complimented our dresses (truly beautiful dresses) and i simply could not believe we found in hectic nyc somebody like Georgia and her daughter. All other shops i tried were giving me crazy deadlines (4-6 months time for short dresses?) and truly crazy prices. Georgia got my sister and I absolutely beautiful dresses, she truly focused on them to get them out in time and the prices were truly very reasonable. Thank you so much Georgia!

excellent service ,professional work. i was refer to Selene from a friend to have a couple alterations to two of my summer suits .

It was the most pleasant experience i had.Especially with the manager of Selene, Vicky.she was so helpful and she answer all my questions i had concerning my suits The work which it was done by Selene it was EXCELLENT and the most important it was on time .No problems no delays just perfect work and great service

Beautiful and Unique Dresses, Excellent Service. Selene's mom and daughter team treated me like a member of their family, while also providing top-notch professional service. Their designs are unique, elegant, and, really affordable. Before I went to Selene, I had shopped all around NYC, and was losing hope of finding something special within a reasonable price range. I feel so lucky to have found out about Selene, because they were able to create a couture gown for me, in real silk organza, for less money than many of the off-the-rack gowns I had tried on at other shops that were made of synthetics. Also, they were happy to incorporate some ideas I had about what I wanted for my dress. An added bonus is that since the dresses are tailored to your body from the start, I didn't get stuck with the huge alterations fees that most bridal stores charge and they also were able to make the gown in only 3 months, rather than the usual 6 to 9 months that most places required. Seriously, I highly recommend this place for other brides. A true gem.

Amazing dresses and alterations!!. I went into Selene to get alterations done on my vintage wedding gown that belonged to my mom. I was less then thrilled with the gown but it made my mom so happy that I was going to wear it. Vikki and Georgia turned that gown into a stylish amazing dress that I felt thrilled about and excited to wear. They were unbelievably helpful and generous with their time and expertise. I have recommended this establishment over and over and will use them from now on for all my alterations and custom made items. Not only are they amazing, they are reasonably priced. I can not recommend them enough!!

Beautiful fit- Excellent service. Selene took me by surprise with their creativity and inspiration. Vicky and Georgia can help you find what you want when you have no idea what is the right dress for you. I loved the fact that they care so much for their customers. The dress itself was very comfortable, simple, unique.

I recommend to anyone to take a look at this new custom designs' store...They treat you like family, they make great dresses and in really really good prices!!!
