What Our Expert Scouts Say

A slider, it should be noted, is different from a hamburger not only in size but in approach. They're smaller, softer, more delicate in every way. Mark, on St. Mark's Place, specializes in them and they're fresh and hot and very good. Get two.

Citysearch Editorial Review. How do you stand out from the flood of restaurants flipping gourmet burgers across the city? Try a funky magenta, black and neon decorating scheme and some serious sliders inspired by some of the great slider joints of New Jersey. Its tightly focused menu offers just a handful of options: Plain sliders topped with onions and cheese and bacon sliders (although they’re so cheap, you might as well order both), plus a few sides like French fries, chili and pickles.

Juicy Sliders. Wow, I didn't know sliders could be so juicy and tasty! The slider is $2 a pop and I really recommend it, especially with their BBQ, Chipotle and Jalepeno ketchups. Their fries are really crispy too.

Beer here only costs $4a glass. Overall, a great joint to pre-game or eat something small.

Citysearch Editorial Review. An East Village spot where the meat is ground in-house and the fries are fresh-cut.
