Citysearch Editorial Review.
Named after a Chilean president--Ramon Barros Luco--with an affinity for steak and cheese sandwiches, this fast food eatery is the only one of its kind in NYC, offering chacareros (sandwiches), empanadas and vienesas (Chilean hot dogs) for under $10 a pop, making it a great place to grab a meal on the go. But bring your appetite—these Chilean-style sandwiches, which are stuffed with layers of charred steak and melted cheese, are not for the faint of heart. While the restaurant is basically a take-out joint, those who like dining in can ascend a steep staircase, where a few simple tables provide some seating.
