Great Job, but can be better. I brought charlie 2 pair of pants for alterations, cause they were to big on me. He did a great job fixing them but he took alot of time. I love the work he did. But at the same time i started to get angry at him cause he took too long to fix my pants. He took about a week in a half to fix my pants cause he supposedly was not at the shop for vacation and his workers didn't know wich pants were they. I think that Charlie is a good tailor, but he has to change the way he runs his buisness.

HE SAVED MY DRESS !. I bought a dream wedding dress discount on a sale but it was not my size,it had to be reduced by 2 sizes! The dress had some details of stones on the sides and the silk fabric was too delicate to talk of a challenge to fix. I brought my wedding dress to MARKOS of Charlie's Custom Tailor acclaimed charged a little of tailor that area but better pay rather take risks proof MARKO began put nails while I wondered worried the replied I know what to do and when you need it. The result was excellent, like it was made ??for me. The fit was so good I didn't even have to wear a bra and be a C cup, which for me is unheard of. He also had the patience of a saint accommodating to my requests for an honest and would not let me take home until he felt it was perfect. The other people in the store were also very helpful.

Is difficult to find a tailor in this city in which to trust, thanks again MARKOS!

Be wary. I bought a suit off the rack that needed alterations. Marcos altered the sleeves of the jacket without any problems. The pants, however, were a different story.

For the pants alone, I visited Charlie's 4 separate times. On the second visit, the pants were not ready at the time Marcos told me they'd be ready. I waited 10 minutes and I could hear him working on my pants in the back. I gave Marcos 2 more chances to change my mind about his workmanship. The main problems encountered were bunching in the crotch area and a silhouette that was not symmetrical. My concerns were repeatedly met with excuses about the pattern of pant being beyond his control. On my fourth and final visit, my pants were not ready at the agreed upon time, and he asked that I return an hour later (after I had taken my work lunch to go for the fourth visit). This was the final straw. I told him this was unacceptable and asked that he return my pants immediately. Instead, I waited 30 minutes for him to sew them back up.

In the end, he refunded my money, but refused to let me keep the receipt. He also refused to admit that he was incapable of tailoring the pants correctly, and insisted that this would have happened with any tailor in Manhattan.

Perhaps this pants debacle was because I am a woman and perhaps he is inexperienced in tailoring women's clothes. Regardless, his workmanship is below average for the amount charged and he has no respect for the customer's time.

Best Tailor in NYC!. Marcos is the man!

I had a lot of suits that needed to be altered as I had recently lost weight. Too afraid to use my local dry cleaner, I sought out a professional tailor - my first experience. Needed a place in Midtown near my office and came across Charlie's Custom Tailor through an online search. I started small, just one suit, to test the waters. This particular suit needed to be taken in, pant and jacket, as I had dropped pounds as previously mentioned. I was very skeptical at first, but when I tried on the finished product, I was shocked. It fit like a glove - Marcos made the suit look like a suit is supposed to look – fitted and polished. No more baggy, sloppy look. And there was no evidence of any alterations you might get from dry cleaners either. Best of all, it was very reasonably priced. He’ll even provide discounts depending on the amount of work. Needless to say, I have since used CCT and Marcos for every alteration, from a simple hem to taking pleats out of pants and making them look originally flat front. I get compliments all the time.

I now see the value and importance of getting suits (or other clothes) altered by using a professional tailor. If it’s within your budget, spend the extra money. It makes a huge difference. I highly recommend Charlie's Custom Tailor. Marcos and his staff are efficient, friendly, and professional. You won’t be disappointed.

The best tailor I found in NY. The best tailor in New York

Charlie’s custom tailor, is very good tailor, best that I got. I am a lawyer and I like to dress very beautiful and also to look professional, that is why my clothes must be very presentable. I have been visiting Marcos for over a year, I've been perfectly satisfied with their work, perfect measure in my alterations, timeliness is a very understandable and friendly. You don’t need to go any other tailor he is the best tailor in New York, he can make all type alteration for all your clothes.

Suit BUTCHER!!!!. The worst tailor experience I have ever had!

I went in with a brand new suit that needed the usual minor alterations. in addtion, I asked for the suit to be taken it a bit just so that it looks more tailored. That guy Markos told me he would make the suit custom tailored to my body, and that it would be the best suit i owned if I paid him $200. Stupidly, I agreed. When I got back, I coulndn't even lift the pants past my thighs. Likewise, the suit jacked did not fit at all - I could barely put it on and I felt like i was going to rip it if i didn't immediately take it off. Nothing about the suit was smooth, it looked all stretched out. Meanwhile, that guy Markos said that it fits perfectly. I felt like I had to convince him that it was too small. He told me he would fix it and that I should come back for another fitting. I went back - NO JOKE - 4 times, and he kept getting it wrong. Eventually, he completely ruined the suit!!!!! The guy Markos didn't even refund my money. Instead, he yelled and cursed at me. BY FAR, MY WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A TAILOR, EVER!!! This place is so unprofessional, and their work is of poor quality. DON'T GO THERE!

The Best Tailor in NY city. I'm very happy
