Citysearch Editorial Review. The flame-colored mosaic tiles at this NYU-area joint echo Burger King, as do the self-serve soda machines and plastic booths. But what differentiates Rockwell’s Express from its fellow fast food restaurants are the burgers. True connoisseurs skip the so-called boring burgers in favor of the special “mix-it-ins.” You can opt for a prepared version like a hot sauce gorgonzola burger or make your own. Choose either ground beef or chicken, then add up to four vegetables, cheeses, or bacon and one sauce; afterwards, everything gets mixed together and grilled. Purists (or vegans) can go for mix-it-in salads, with more than 20 ingredients to choose from.

Awesome Burger. I just tried this new burger spot. They mix the ingredients into the burger like Coldstone does to ice cream. Cool idea. The burger was absolutely delicious. I also had sweet potato fries and a shake, both very good.

it was reasonably priced and the place was really nicely designed. It's a great addition close to my NYU dorm.
