Horrible place and weird looking dudes. Got stink eyes the whole time...didn't even really approach any girls! Pink Elephant is better, by far..
THIEVES. Was there with my girlfriend last Friday. We had 4 glasses of champagne by the bar. When bartender gave me a bill it was more than I expected, so I checked it and saw some service charges. I asked him if tips are included. He said yes, so I didn’t leave anything extra since it was already more than 20%, but next day checking my bank statement I discovered that he charged me another 20% on top of it. SUCH A RIP OFF! I understand that is "exclusive” place, but common. In the first place he didn’t have a decency to tell me that tips are included and then he charged me even more on top of it! I only have one word for you A THIEF. I didn’t get his name, but he is short guy with short blond hair. Not sure what other days he works, but he was there on Friday, so WATCH OUT FOR HIM! And i'm sure he is not the only one who does it!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. PLACE SUCKS, THE PEOPLE WORKING AT THE DOOR ARE THE RUDEST AND MOST DISGUSTING HUMAN BEINGS I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE. I HOPE THEY'RE GONNA GET IN SERIOUS TROUBLES FOR THE WAY THEY TREAT PEOPLE.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
this place is TERRIBLE. have been here a total of two times and both instances door people/employees have been incompetent and rude.
attended the Black Swan wrap party here last year and had to FIGHT with the door girl about even BEING on the list (hello, i'm at the party for a REASON - i was IN the movie!) and about my +1, which she had no clue about.
was also here for the XXXX Magazine "afterparty"...horrible horrible JOKE. guests were told to RSVP but once everyone was there the lists had been THROWN OUT and there was suddenly a "dress code"? nevermind the fact that once again, i was there as TALENT for the magazine itself. everyone who was there for the afterparty was made to stand outside in the sweltering NYC summer heat while the door people did nothing - meanwhile they would occasionally let the overweight rich looking B&T idiot and his leathery girlfriend in. ABSOLUTE JOKE! most people who showed up just ended up leaving. having been there once i can say it's really not worth waiting for, and i took my people to another venue where a friend was DJing - guaranteed free booze! problem solved.
moral of the story: unless you're a disgusting B&T idiot with more money than God you're best off avoiding this place.
Not going back.
This place is ridiculous. I walked up with my 2 (very pretty) girlfriends dressed proper and the big nosed girl at the door came up to us and told us its a $5000 minimum. Having just came from the rooftop with a few guy friends, this was not an issue so when we walked back with them she refused to let us in. THE GIRLS! She said the 2 guys can go in (knowing they were ready to spend) but not us and I overheard her say something about us being too short??WTF? Im 5'6 and my 2 friends are 5'4-5'5. She was not only shorter than us (wearing 5" Jimmy's) but had the biggest nose ive EVER seen in my life!
Needless to say we left and took the 2 Mr. Moneybags that were ready to spend along with us to 1OAK. Big business mistake for them.
Done Already. The spot is perfect if you are in new jersey or long island. I like the wings but other than that the space is overdone and cheesy. I saw one of the cast members from jersey shore their and people were all over him asking for pictures and autographs enough said
Citysearch Editorial Review. The former Garden of Ono space in the sleek Gansevoort Hotel has been transformed by the team behind Stereo into a luxurious--if extremely exclusive--club, with a look seemingly borrowed from “Alice In Wonderland.” Oversized angel wings, floral patterned banquettes, delicate birch trees and photo murals depicting rooms from a dollhouse give the space a whimsical feel, while a soaring, retractable glass roof promises partying under the stars--at least during the warmer months.
Gorgeous Crowd in a Gorgeous Setting.
The door is very tight, but the staff is very nice.
The cocktails were delicious (I had the Ginger and Huckleberry vodka one). It was expensive, but I always say if you're not willing to shell $100 when you go out in Manhattan, then don't go out.
Our waitress sweet, but a little slow. There is also a club that plays house music, but I preferred the lounge- better music, and more beautiful.
