Citysearch Editorial Review. For a heightened sense of haberdash, visit this Lower East Side men’s clothing shop specializing in custom clothing and costumes. Named for owner Michele Savoia--long-time clothier to the stars--House of Savoia reflects its proprietor's flair for 1930s style, which appeals primarily to guys who read GQ and want to be regarded as gentlemen. There's a display case full of cuff-links, a variety of items made from animal hides, a 1946 Victor Pro pool table, a cognac-stocked bar and pocket squares galore. And if the Bogart-inflected outfits on the rack aren't quite right for a particular shopper, Savoia himself is prepared to offer suggestions for a crisp, bespoke look.
