Great Service. The sushi is not bad but I really like the friendly service here. A rare thing in a Japanese restaurant.
Save Your Money. It has a nice look and is very trendy... if your into that sorta thing... but me personally I go out to eat good food and this place didn't deliver the goods, not only that the service was horrible and they don't prepare food the way I want it... It's as if the meal was pulled out of a box and thats what you get... as is... EHHHHH
Citysearch Editorial Review. Bamboo floors, floating lanterns and pop art-inspired, custom-designed cherry blossom wallpaper give this Japanese gastropub a dreamy vibe. Set in the Meatpacking District’s modern, popular Hotel Gansevoort, the expansive two-level space offers a chic, ethereal setting for sushi and shareable Japanese small plates in the izakaya tradition--meaning it offers a diverse and somewhat lengthy menu that pairs well with beer--all set to an of-the-moment indie rock soundtrack. Menu options include the tasty tori dango (chicken meatballs with spicy ponzu sauce) and fiery yellow jacket roll (with hamachi and jalapeños), though heftier items, like a burger with kimchi relish, also make the cut.
