Authentic Lebanese.
I love this place, from the coziness of the small are and decore, friendliness of the service and the authentic Lebanese food. And i have tried many!
I recommend balade for anyone looking for good Eastern Mediterranean in ny.
Good Lebanese food and wine, friendly staff. We just hosted a 45 person luncheon in this restaurant. The owner worked directly with us through the whole planning process and was very accomodating. The food and Lebanese wine were great and the staff was very friendly. The big hits were the sea bass and the tapas style portions of sausage (samboussik), falafel, and chicken wings (jwaneh). Their bread is great as well. Also check out their deserts - try the baklava.
Unique, Delicious Eating in the E. Village.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the prices didn't nearly match the decor/ambiance in this awesome Lebanese spot that just recently opened. It has a lounge-y feel, with pillow cushions on a long bench of seats.
While you may initially gravitate to the familiar options, like falaffel and hummus, I would strongly urge the opposite. My favorites are the Kafta Manakeesh (you absolutely cannot beat the fresh bread they put out here) and Tarboush Chicken Pitza. A word of caution: if you aren't familiar with the cuisine, be prepared for lots of pickles, on everything. Yes, even things you would NEVER expect them to be on. It's an interesting twist... I'll let you be the judge.
It's a great date spot and good place for group dinners too (there were a couple large groups the night I was there).
The only reason I kept it at 4 stars and not 5, is the drink prices, which I thought should have been a few bucks cheaper and in-line with the reasonable food prices.
Excellent!.
Love the food at this place.
Start with fluffy, fresh and warm bread, amazing! Excellent pitzas too, everything that I tried on their menu, it was delicious, but the chicken shawarma is my favorite, kenafa and fresh mint tea, made it perfect! The place is cozy, great ambience and the staff are very attentive and friendly.
Authentic lebanese, I highly recomend this restaurant to any person who likes to eat a good and fresh meal.
Excellent. I had dinner last night at Balade with my gf. the food was really authentic and the service was welcoming.... will be back for sure...
terrible. Terrible place to eat. Don't go and definitely don't order from Balade
