Great new Thai place!. Great new Thai restaurant. Has an awesome drink menu! Great food, good for drinks, dinner. Good for a date or out with friends, or even a group!

Citysearch Editorial Review. The city has its fair share of Thai restaurants, so new spots must have something special to make them stand out. In the case of Betel, that something is beauty. Both the restaurant (brick walls, burnished mirrors, softly lit paper lanterns) and the clientele (alluring denizens of the West Village, clustered around the bar and the dining room’s communal table) score serious points on the attractive scale. The food is pretty too, including the jungle curry of snapper, hung lae curry of pork belly and Vietnamese braised Wagyu brisket, all generally sized to share--if you can tear your eyes away, that is.

Amazing!!!!
Staff, food, decor and clientele are all 5 stars in my book.
The food is interesting and new.The drinks are great and all properly priced.
Must have dishes: Oysters, chicken betel leave, duck and short rib.
