Love loveLOVE. I love this spot. I was accustomed to this wonderful salon in Syracuse called Garbos. And I did not find a place as great in the city since moving back home. Then my friend and I tried Tanning Spot NYC and LOVED it. I will not go anywhere else. The staff is super friendly and very helpful.

I say try here it is so worth it.

The best SPOT to date.. I have been coming here since they opened. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and unsnob like as they were at the former Hollywood Tans. They took up more interest in there own tans and the latest issue of life and style rather then running a business.

The greatest price in this economy. THE BEST PRICE, very clean and friendly employees, well JOE90 I dont care if it was Hollywood tan or Bally tan, all I care is ( GET MY TAN , in a clean salon with a good price) I actually saw the owner or the manager, he is a really very sweet and nice young guy

BAD BUSINESS. BAD...REAL BAD...the owner at least....why? My girlfriend use to work for this owner at a Hollywood Tans around the corner on 3rd. Ave. and then one day went to work and they were closed. He said he was reopening in a few weeks which actually took months to do! All the employees lost their jobs (never hired back) and customers lost their tans and lotion bottles just like that...?!

I don't care what it looks like inside....the man who owns it is a liar and crook....crafty and wrong....bad business! I would rather pay more at a place where they are honest. If you don't believe me....ask them upfront at the desk....----of course they are going to say I am lying....ask them upfront if they were ever HOLLYWOOD TANS and just moved a vlock away with the same OLD MACHINES etc.....? Ask them if they are going to close also? BEFORE you sign up....be warned!

It is not true. The comment below from Joey90 is not 100% true, I was a cutomer at Hollywood Tan 3rd Avenue and I know the owner, he got a notice to vacate in 10 days and had no choice but to let employees go and to sell the equipment, the buyer decide to open the salon in the same area, and had him manage it. Equipment are only FOUR YEARS (she is a lyiar). I am a cutomer now and I pay $24.99 membership, any other salon charge $69.99 for the same type of service, $10 a session and get actual tan vs $25.00 or $30.00, the place is nice and clean, and as I said I dont care what it was before I LOVE IT

Great Tanning Experience. When I went to sign up for a tanning membership I was full of questions about the maximum time, the lotions, the machines, the packages and the employees were friendly and answered my questions with ease. They made me feel comfortable tanning and were so friendly. The tanning salon was clean and decorated to feel like you were in some vacation resort in Miami. I recommended this tanning salon to my friends!

To the comment below. When I went to the tanning spot it was such a great experience. The place is so cute and so nyc. I tanned and felt amazing after. I got such a natural tan which is opposite from all of these other places. All the bulbs are brand new. I don't know what that boy, josh is talking about. The customer service here is great and really looked out for me. He's just saying that NY sun club is better because he works there.Don't be a hater.And plus the prices are the best in the city!

This is new?. I recently visited the Tanning Spot to claim my free tan for first time clients as advertised on their website, however, my experience was average. I was under the impression that the salon was recently opened, but there were a few bulbs already burnt out in my machine and multiple others that were bright red on the ends. I've been tanning long enough to know red indicates a bulb that has been used so much it's close to burning completely out. I wouldn't be able to complain about the prices of the Tanning Spot seeing as how it is reasonably priced, but I probably won't return. My experience at Ny Sun Club right around the corner was much more fulfilling.

Best price and service in the area. They have a tv and couches which came handy while my girlfriend waited for me.

The service is very friendly and helpful as she knew what amount of time would work for me as I am a new tanner, i was afraid of over-tanning. I got a natural look and am ready for the spring!

The best tanning salon in NYC!. I've been to many tanning salons in NYC and the tanning spot is top notch. Since they just opened recently everything is new and spotless which is one of the reasons I like this place. I hate it when I go into a tanning salon and it feels and looks dirty... This place is quite the opposite. The Staff was very helpful in advising how long I should tan and what lotion I should use. I highly recommend it!!!
