Better than the Rest by Far

I've had a lot of Indian food in New York and I have to say this place stands out. Food is far from ordinary and you just can't the dishes you get here anywhere else. It's a real treat.

The bartender remembered my drink when I came back! It's a very special place.

Amazing Buffet

I dropped in here during a lunch break to meet a friend. Very convenient location to all Manhattan neighborhoods. We ended up staying for a long time enjoying all the the wonderful breads, curries, and desserts at the buffet. In fact, the manager was nice enough to recommend some wine to go with the fish curry (my favorite) and it was a great relaxing meal.

I think the best thing about the meals is the abundance of different breads and rices really allows you to taste things you've tasted before in new ways. Definitely going back.

Mouth WATERING food!!!!!

I went here for my friends anniversary dinner party and had an incredible dinner. The food is delicious, we had the tandoori seekh kebabs, and they even brought us an extra serving because they thought the initial serving was too small (although we were stuffed!) The staff was very nice and helped us celebrate our special day.

The ambience is very romantic and it made our day. Can't wait to go back and I definitely recommend this place!

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!

I have tried many Indian Restaurants in Newyork,finally we came to Nirvana with my family on a special occasion on the recommendation of a friend.I was not so excited as I didn't expect anything special.

In the restaurant the hostess guide us to the upstairs Dining Room it was so.........beautiful.The food was excellent, better than the food in India.They served with a complimentary appetizer in the beginning,it was awesome.Wait staff was very attentive and friendly.Anyhow we had a great time there.I will definitely recommend this place.This place is suitable for parties family gatherings etc.

Nirvana leaves much to be desired

Well, I wish I could say something really good about this place, but I am sorry to confess- I was really disappointed. I came there with my husband to have a romantic dinner. I was sure it would be as nice as it was two years ago-when the guys just opened the business...But I was mistaken-now the place seems to be more like a fast food restaurant with low and slow service. Too loud, too crowded, the waiter (I think it was the manager, because he was in a shirt and a tie)was gloomy and ignorant. The food was not properly cooked. The mango lassi was too fat and contained too much sugar. So, all in all, we were really upset about the service and the place. Maybe the guys should try to run another business not a restaurant one?
