Fast, Friendly, Efficient, Great Job Done!. Hiring a professional mover for the first time, I was a little anxious and skeptical. But since my company was paying for it, I wanted to make it as easy as myself as possible. First, I called around getting estimates. Most of the professional movers were about the same price for the 2 bedroom apartment worth of contents I had to be moved over 1,000 miles. It took a little while to understand all of the fine print like the binding and non-binding estimates, as well as insurance and limitations of liability. I opted to go with this company. The gentleman was very courteous and prompts with the phone calls and faxes, and explained everything fairly well to me. I had a lot of questions, and most of them were answered quite well. I decided to pack my own things since they would be stored in a storage unit prior to being moved. If moving things from or to a storage unit, choose a unit that is easily accessible to an 18-wheeler. I had a 20x10' unit pretty much full. I didn't get insurance since I didn't have anything too valuable and felt that I packed everything very well myself. I was given a 2-day window for pickup and a 5-day window for drop-off. I was told they would call for instructions the day before and so they did. Great communication and everything worked out extremely well for pickup. For loading, the driver and worker did very well while a family member watched. For drop-off, the driver had excellent communication, and I was able to fax maps to the driver to aid in the 18-wheeler-unfriendly roads in my area. The driver arrived on the first day of the 5-day drop-off period, at the planned time. The driver and worker were professional and courteous and everything was handled with great care. My furniture didn't appear to have any additional wear. I was most worried about a nice bedroom suite, but careful inspection showed it made the move great. The only thing I did notice was the corner of one wall near the corridor appeared to have been scraped by some furniture, only requiring some touch-up painting.

"My experience with Local Long Distance and Interstate Movers NY was quite good. We were referred by my hubby's co-worker and the person I spoke with was professional and diligent. We got a reasonable price quote for our move and opted for the flat rate. On the day of the move, they arrived 40 minutes early and began moving our stuff right away. I'm used to movers being LATE so this was a new experience for me! There were 3 guys that came and they moved my stuff quite quickly and carefully. They wrapped all my stuff for me and were finished within 4 hours. I would definitely use them again!

It was a pleasure working with all the people. It was a pleasure working with all the people at Local Long Distance & Interstate Movers NY. It took several months from the time I first contacted them for an estimate and when I was finally ready to make the move. Over that time I worked with Alexander, Nick, Daniel and Nicole. All were most helpful, courteous and professional. I am glad I selected this company. Both pickup and delivery were on time with what I had been told. The driver that picked up my belongings was wonderful. The two guys who wrapped the furniture and loaded the truck did an excellent job. Everything arrived looking like it did when it was picked up. I did my own packing and not everything is unpacked, but the boxes and tubs arrived with no damage. I certainly appreciated the driver, who drove to destination; keeping me up to date on expected arrival time (I think his name was Paula but not sure). The person who was at the destination for delivery was impressed with the way everything was wrapped and with the way things were unloaded and put in the house. I was very fortunate with the short time between pickup and delivery for a cross country move and was very happy it worked out that way. I was disappointed that the final price was slightly more than estimate but I know it is not possible to have final amount until truck is loaded and when you have a lot of stuff that is what happens. Overall, my experience was great and I would definitely recommend Local Long Distance & Interstate Movers NY .

Highly, highly recommended. This was a corporate paid move from New York , NY to Baltimore , MD on April 30th of this year. We set everything up through Jennifer on April 15th and went over an inventory list and compared our in home estimates to that list and tweaked it over the next few days. Their quote was a little higher than one of the estimates and considerably lower than the other. We did not compile quotes from any other companies just the 3 mentioned and were pleased with all 3 companies

We had a great experience with this New York Movers.. We had a great experience with this New York Movers. I used their online form to submit a quote request and they responded almost immediately and were very friendly. We spent about a week deciding before we confirmed the quote and scheduled the date. They delivered plastic bins a week prior to our move as well as additional boxes & tape because they happened to be low on bins.

We moved from two separate apartments into one. We re-confirmed the quote before starting (I had about 4-5 additional boxes, but the overall move was not a huge one despite the two apartments). They arrived slightly past the scheduled time but were so quick that I didn't mind. They took great care with my furniture (especially since I lived in a 4th-floor walk-up). When they later went to my boyfriend's apartment to load his things, let's just say that my BF had been out too late the night before and wasn't quite ready. The movers quickly and without complaint scooped things into boxes & trash bags and were out the door.

At the new location, they set boxes and furniture where we wanted them and put back together whatever had been broken down for the move (e.g. the bed).

All told, they finished in about 3.5 hours, went with the originally quoted price despite a higher-than-expected box count (I should add, we paid for their lunch & tipped well and we conveyed that we would tip well before it was all said & done), damaged nothing, and were lenient on our timing for unpacking the crates (which took us about 10 days).

They were highly recommended to us and I highly recommend this New York Movers to others for a stress-free move. I'll definitely use this New York Movers again.

That made us feel very good about our decision to use this M. "We recently completed our last minute move with Packers -Movers - NY Movers from Manhattan to Edison, NJ. We didn't have a big house to move or anything just a 1 bedroom apartment. When the guys did arrive the next morning they showed up at 8:30 which was a little earlier than we had expected but those guys must be real morning people because I have never seen some guys work so efficiently at moving furniture. They had our place packed and ready to go in a little over 2 hours. The last few times we've moved it's taken the movers the majority of the day to pack up our place. These guys were hard working and very quick about it. I could tell these guys were the real pros and it really showed. That made us feel very good about our decision to use this Manhattan based moving company!!!"

It's always nerve-wracking putting all of your possessions into the care of strangers, but the team of movers was friendly, efficient, and careful with all of our stuff. ..

Remarkable wasn't the lowest cost of everyone we called, but they sent someone over to our house to give an official estimate and made me feel comfortable that we wouldn't end up being charged extra after all of our stuff was on the truck (that's happened to people I know before). Plus they were willing to come down a bit in price to make the deal. I felt like I got a reasonable price for moving a lot of stuff...

Our four movers--David, Danny Silver., Robert Dino, and Jerome Robinson--did a terrific job. Plus they were a great group of guys! They took great care with all of our furniture and wrapped everything very well, plus brought their own wardrobe boxes and packed up our hanging clothes and bedding for us.

We really weren't fully prepared or packed for this move, but the Remarkable team made it easy. I had expected them to tell me they couldn't move some things because they weren't included in the original estimate, but they did it all...

I'd definitely recommend Remarkable for a NYC move.

I highly recommend them and would use them again.". "Moving is one of my least favorite things in life, perhaps tied along with going to the dentist. Unfortunately for me, I have to move almost as often as I go to the dentist, whether for school, work, etc. This time I decided I was not going to do this on my own and decided to hire some professionals. I called Certified Movers - Local Moving - about 4 days before my move and they were able to get the time/day I needed with no trouble. The women who helped me were really friendly and asked all the right questions about my move so she could get the info she needed to the movers. I told her I had a couch that would likely have to be hoisted over the balcony because it wouldn't fit through the door, and she said that was no problem. I chose 3 movers for $ 105/hr (because 3 men were needed for the couch). The morning of moving day, the movers showed up at the scheduled time. Once they got there, they worked quickly and efficiently, and were super friendly. They hoisted the couch over the balcony with no trouble at all, and shrink wrapped all my stuff to keep it protected. Then they drove from Pasadena to the storage unit in OC where my stuff was being stored. They got slightly lost, but didn't charge me for that extra time when it came time to settle the bill. All in all, the move couldn't have gone more smoothly, and they were super careful with all of my belongings. I highly recommend them and would use them again."

Our family moved twice in two years using Remarkable Movers both times. The first time we were covered under a corporate move and the second we paid for personally. Therefore, I think we have an excellent perspective of this vendor under two common scenarios.

To aid in the assessment of Remarkable Movers, I have evaluated the company on several key criteria: ESTIMATION PROCESS- In our most recent move, which we paid for ourselves, we had several professional national vendors come out to give us estimates. After hearing horror stories on the news, we felt more comfortable going with a larger company. But which one? Remarkable Movers had moved us once before and their estimate was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. (In fact, Mayflower was most expensive, coming in approximately 15% higher than Remarkable Movers) The individual that provided the estimate was very professional, efficient and more than willing to bind the quote +/- 10%. This appears to be an industry standard among the nationwide vendors. PROFESSIONALISM OF MOVERS- The first time we moved, the corporate vendor of choice was Remarkable Movers. Their crew packed us and loaded our belongings in their trucks. The crew was fast but less professional than we would have hoped. Specifically, they rode some of our biking equipment though our hallways but most importantly they did not provide us with the high-value inventory sheet. Fortunately, there was no damage by the moving company to our home during the move-out process. In contrast, however, we found Remarkable Movers to be very professional, efficient and courteous. Though they did not pack us, they did an excellent job of loading our belongings. They were on time, efficient, and very professional in ensuring that our home was not damaged in the move-out process.

First started looking for a moving company on mover reviews since I felt we had a difficult move ahead. We have many antiques that, if damaged, cannot be replaced. We also had 3,000 sq.ft of home that we had lived in for 15 years to move. To make everything more difficult, we were not taking everything. We were moving what we wanted to keep and leaving the rest until we vacated the house in a few months. When the estimator from Remarkable Movers called to give us a quote, he had to really look beyond what was in each room since some of it was going and some not. And, to make everything better, he told me my 14" long long-arm quilting table could be moved intact instead of breaking it down into parts. This has saved me many, many hours. The other moving companies I contacted told me that they would have to charge me the same amount it would cost to ship a boat to have it moved in one piece because of it's size. The estimate came in as the highest of the three I called for. The companies were Allied, United, and Wheaton. However, the final cost was the lowest of any of the estimates once

they had weighed the truck. The part of this move I most appreciate was that even though I had said I would do part of the packing, I realized I was not going to be able to do it all. I called the company. They sent out people a day ahead of schedule who immediately went into each room with me and started organizing what I had already done, and continuing on. Since the main problem was that I was running out of space in the house, they brought the moving van out a day early also so we could put the packed things into it creating more space in the house just to see where we were at!!! They went through each room several times to determine what we were taking and what was to be left. They were cordial, polite, and had a sense of humor. Remarkable Movers was great. When they arrived at our new house, they unpacked, stacked, and did everything they said they would do. I do not own stock in this company and I have to thank epinions for making me aware they exist. I would definitely recommend Remarkable Movers using them especially if you are in the Brooklyn or New York Area. Our Driver was Mike and the Estimator was Frank Lenore. Again, check this company out
