Citysearch Editorial Review. Modern luxury meets Manhattan loft style at this Bryant Park-area hotel. The second Andaz property to open in New York, the Andaz 5th Avenue is situated directly across the street from the New York Public library, and even boasts a small collection of books on loan for guests. (Apparently the un-official Oprah biography is the most popular selection.) In keeping with the brand’s philosophy, guests check-in via electronic tablets while having a glass of wine from a self-service bar in the chic, black-washed poplar wood lobby. Rooms feel spacious, boasting 12-ft ceilings and plush extras like free snacks and foot baths--perfect for cleaning up after a long stroll on 5th Avenue.

stellar service, stunning hotel!. Andaz 5th avenue was a wonderful experience, especially for a first time traveler to NYC. The staff was incredibly hospitable - I was assigned a personal concierge the second I walked in the door, and he was there for every need I had, real or imagined! The rooms are wonderful, and Oh Mah Gawd, you will not want to get out of the shower. I spent 30 minutes each night in that shower - the footbath is a godsend, and a wonderful idea! I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay in Manhattan. You will NOT be disappointed.
