Great experience. Great service. simply the best. To my fellow Citysearchers

I have passed this salon many times over the last few months and have always been intrigued, It's on the 2nd floor but is very visible from the street ( you can see them doing hair in the windows)

So I decided to do some research... That was all I needed to make the decision to make an appointment, so I scheduled with Alex because I had read so many great reviews about him and let me tell you I have NEVER BEEN HAPPIER WITH MY COLOR!!

I was a little unsure of what I wanted exactly but during my consultation he brought out his Ipad filled with a variety of pictures of different colors and styles ( very impressive!!)

This was honestly the best experience I have ever had at a salon in NYC, I loved it so much I'm going back next week to get a haircut!!

The ultimate, the best hair salon in SoHo, downtown NYC. I've been seeing Clyde for the last 5 years and it is the 1st time i'm writing about him publicly which I think he has earned it .

He rocks . Through this period of time he's proved me that he is the ultimate hair stylist. When he's asked to deliver, no matter the range of difficulty the guy just delivers ultimate haircuts.

And now from a new position, that of founder of the Dtrawing Room New York he's dedicated to create the best hair salon in SoHo. How could be different when whatever he touches seems to become gold, starting whit the design of the space, the stylist he chooses to surround him self, the location etc.

Zen-like Experience & Top Color & Cut. After going to a number of high-end NYC salons over the past 5 years, I took a chance on The Drawing Room and am so glad I did! All of the reviews on City Search are accurate and they blew my expectations away.

Color:

I visited Liz for color and she gave me a thorough consultation and really asked what I wanted. As a blonde, colorists usually just do whatever they want, but Liz really listened to the color & tone I was looking for. She was incredibly thorough and did not rush whatsoever to achieve optimal color. She was so sweet & professional. It was such a relaxing experience and it came out exactly as I wanted.

Cut:

While waiting for Liz to mix my color, Ngoc (my stylist) came over for a consultation on my hair cut. He took a solid 15 minutes to discuss my hair, my challenges, what I am looking for and what I don't like. I trusted immediately that he had my best interest at heart. The cut was thorough, combining both dry and wet cutting techniques and it looks beautiful.

I would highly recommend the salon. I've been to all the highly commercial salons in the city and find them to be hair cutting machines where you're rushed, it's busy and loud, and you become involved in their drama. The experience at The Drawing Room was the exact opposite of that and I'll be returning.

Clyde. The best hair cut in Manhattan. This salon is one of the best hair salons in SoHo, Manhattan. I wanted a strong shaped hair cut which in my mind requires very strong technical skills. By searching every possible salon website in SoHo I very much trusted Clyde's vision of strong, geometric shaped haircut as he did on Make Me A Supermodel winner Holly Kiser. What a great decision that proved to be. Is such a pleasure to watch this person, because he's not just cutting hair but literally drawing upon your head, fine sectioning the hair exactly like an architect draws on a blueprint. I received one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Easy to replicate at home without the constant struggle I've had before.

The Walking MoMA! Best Hair Cut And Keratin Shot In NYC, NY.. I've been forever trapped with my unruly hair. Even if I've always desired the best transformation every high end salon I've been to kept holding me back by just trimming the ends, maybe because of lack of technical skills while their main focus is just the hype. Being so desperate that almost gave up my desire Clyde the founder/creative director at The Drawing Room New York was suggested to me as the great sculptor who will fulfill my desire. Without further thinking i picked up the phone and clarified my complex situation on the other end of the line just to receive on a healing tone that I'll be not disappointed (thank you Liz )! Here in his chair i sit patiently waiting for the sculptor himself to arrive. Immediately after welcoming me to his salon his 1st question was how ready are you about this transformation on a scale from 1 to 10? Showing enough confidence, 10 I respond. How about 20 he asks me back getting me intrigued. Then inviting Alex over whom he presented as color and Keratin Shot czar with all his everything " i" roster of iPad, iMac Clyde asked him simply what he could do on his part . Then with the biggest smile and confidence I've ever seen before on hairstylists they start the exclusively designed WALKING MoMA! code named presentation based on my daily routine, shape, length, image, texture and style I wanted to achieve. I was sold! Was sold my dream of transforming myself improved for the best which meant i was going to get the exact architectural haircut that Clyde features on his our philosophy section of his website. Next would be the retexturization of my hair by applying the for real (as it was proved to me by reading it myself and also feeling it which means no eye irritation which as I read is to common) Formaldehyde Free Salerm Cosmetics Keratin Shot made and imported from Barcelona, Spain which in contrast to the US the use of formaldehyde is regulated from the European FDA. It's been 3 months already and there are no better words to describe it better that The Drawing Room New York Is THE BEST HAIR SALON IN NEW YORK, in the great NYC SOHO NEIGHBORHOOD than that these guys are the real image making czars! By the way congratulations to both of you for the 1st anniversary of the salon which was a week after I visited you so next time I see you even being a little bit late you better be ready because will be Champagne time but will be one of my many ways of thanking you for what you did to my life!

THE BEST HAIR SALON IN NEW YORK - SOHO. After years and years being loyal to the previous hair salon and not being listened anymore to what I wanted I decided to search very extensively for a new salon. Across came The Drawing Room New York hair salon in SOHO. By clicking on it's website came  the 1st great impression. What an elegant one, but as I mentioned before I was searching for the best hair salon in New York so I moved onto reading review after review including filtered ones. A New York Magazine review came across saying The Best Ombre Hair Color which was exactly the look I was looking for and the hair colorist's name credited on it was Alex. So back to the website I get to read about his bio and after making sure that he is the person to go I booked my appointment. Here I arrive receiving the warmest greeting ever from a Hair Salon Front Desk Manager combined with a bold flavor instant made coffee. Then a lightly bearded (which I didn't see on his bio pic but personally believe looked handsome) European-flaired gentleman in pink shirt and navy blue double button blazer introduced him self as Alex, creating that butterflies in my stomach feeling for trusting my hair/image to a person who literally knows (and applies it 1st on his self) what Style and Beauty means! After this I went straight to the point and asked him about his Ombre look specialty. After presenting my choices of do's and dont's through his iPad collection of tens of photos his synopsis (the term he used, which I guess shows his Greek roots) was, TODAY WE'LL COMMEMORATE YOUR FORGOTTEN YOUTH when running on the the beach with perfect sun kissed baby blond hair color. After touching every sensitive string of my soul , the rest is history. Since my colleagues saw my hair every single one of them including their husbands are devotes of THE DRAWING ROOM NEW YORK considering it by far THE BEST HAIR SALON IN NEW YORK CITY - SOHO! Well deserved guys, well deserved!

The best salon in NewYork !. I just moved in NewYork from asia. I tried to be accustomed to my new place , New York City! Especially, i didn't want to look like a stranger here. So, i was searching the best hair salon in NewYork. I was recommended "The Drawing Room New York" from many diffierent web sites and my friends who live here for a long time. I was curious about "The Drawing Room New York" because many people who have visited the salon kept saying like "it was amazing". When I got there, i met incredible people, Clyde and Alex. Clyde is a creative director in the drawing room new york and Alex is a color director in the salon. We talked about what i wanted.(I wanted to haircut & highlight.) They showed me some pictures about hairstyle that looks good on me and i was very relaxed & felt cozy in The Drawing Room New York. After they did my hair, they made me looked like a super model. I just kept saying "Oh my god, thank u, thank u so much". They brought my other beauty i couldn't find in my life. Now, i understand why many people just said "It was amazing". i couldn't explain how happy i am. Furthermore, many guys asked me out from i changed my hair. So, i can make many friends here. I appreciate Clyde & Alex. I just want to say "The Drawing Room New York is the best salon in NewYork! ".

The Best Hair Salon on the Planet!!!!!!!. Upon entering The Drawing Room you are transported to a pristine Zen like environment where the atmosphere is both inviting as well as relaxing. Clyde and Alex are pure perfection, Clyde is the Michelangelo of hair personified and Alex the Da Vinci of color. They are both consummate professionals who pay attention to every detail. The entire staff at the Drawing Room are caring and attentive especially Liz, who is just delightful! The best cut and color, you won't be disappointed.... the cappuccino is great too!!!

the best hair salon!!!!!!!!!!!!!. i am from canada. i visited new york for a week, and since i was in new york, i decided to get a hair color change. my hair was just black with no other colors, and was shoulder length with really long bangs that annoyingly covered my eyes. i didn't really know what to do, and i always ended with the same hair style for the past 3-4 years, because i always went to the same hair salon, and they really didn't know what to do with it either. i heard the the drawing room was a great place for a style change, and mila is one of the top stylists that would surely do magic on my hair. so as soon as i arrived in new york, that was my first stop. i met mila and told her i want my black hair gone, and replace it with a soft, natural color. she totally understood and started her magic. she was so sweet and nice, listening to all my complaints with my hair, gave me great advices, and was really friendly. OMG. she has got an amazing talent with colors, and the result was phenomenal. i love my hair!!!!!!! she also had adrianne deal with my bangs, and really. i totally love every inch of my hair. mila also gave me tips on drying and touching my hair, which was totally helpful. (it was always my biggest problem and concern.) mila totally made gave me a fresh start for my trip in new york. i was soooo happy and confident! thank you drawing room, thank you mila. i am totally thinking of flying over once in a while to have mila color my hair :) !!!!!

Clyde is amazing!!!. I travel from Texas to have Clyde do his magic on my hair!!! I was referred to him several years ago while I was visiting NYC and I have been hooked ever since that time. It is well worth the trips I make because he makes me look fabulous!
