DeLISH!. The deluxe cheeseburger here - off the CHAIN! Forget McDonald's, screw Burger King, FAVELA CUBANA IS IN THE HOUSE!! They've got the taste to put Pollo Tropical to shame [and really it's fast food, they should] and a good service to boot. But seriously, check in for the lunch special - the deluxe cheeseburger will be the best thing your tongue has ever tasted. NEW YORK RESTAURANTS FTW!!

Wonderful Weekend Brunch. Enjoy a day in the city with the wife last weekend. Down in the Village found Favela Cubana near NYU building.

They have a $10 brunch deal on the weekend starting at 11AM. I"m thinking what's the catch. But the deal was good one food item, bellini or a mimosa and cafe con leche. For $10 you can't beat it in NYC.

Enjoy the food and drinks and had a good time relaxing there before we started I day and evening in the city.

TWO THUMBS WAY UP!. My favorite is the Lula Frita, and the Sopa De Frango. Made exceptionally well to perfection. I enjoy the surroundings and the friendly staff. Definitely a place to bring a friend, a date or even a business associate. I say take advantage of the $10 brunch! TWO THUMBS WAY UP!

I love this place!. As my 5 star review denotes, "Run, don't walk!" to this delightful Brazilian/Cuban restaurant. The food is delicious and the drinks are done just right. Everyone who works here is friendly and will make you feel welcome and appreciated. The music adds to the fun atmosphere. I also recommend going for Sunday brunch!

Delicious food! Fun atmosphere!. I love this place. It's close to my work (at NYU), it has great lunch and brunch specials, and fun cocktails. Perfect for a group or small party. Arroz con pollo and Ropa vieja are excellent traditional dishes. The inside is adorable -- the bar stool are bongo drums. Highly recommended for any occasion. They have live music on Tuesday nights... but I haven't had the chance to check it out yet.

Great Place for a Party. My husband gave me a 40th birthday celebration at Favela Cubana, and we had a fantastic experience. The appetizers were very flavorful, and the portions were generous. The main course was delicious as well. There were about 17 of us, and not one complaint about the food, or service. The menu for the occasion had a personal birthday message, which was also a nice touch, an overall great experience. My only problem is that is is cash only, otherwise I had a lovely birthday celebration.

Amazing Brunch and Dinner. I come here all the time and each and the food and drinks are always the best. The Sunday brunch special can't be topped with the drinks.

Brazilian-Cuban casual eatery.. This small but fun restaurant combines three things that the NYU students who frequent it most crave: Big Cuban sandwiches, strong tropical drinks and lots of bouncy Brazilian music. It's an ideal place for a cheap date, but don't come here looking for a major meal. Pressed sandwiches are the order of the day, along with a few Brazilian entrees like Bahia-style shrimp and grilled snapper with coconut rice. The brightly colored room is small but still manages to make space for a little stage, upon which occasional live music is played. For those who choose to pop in solo for a sandwich, assorted magazines are available.
