Citysearch Editorial Review.
Reinterpreted French classics comprise the menu at this secluded, sophisticated restaurant located smack-dab in the madness of Times Square--making it a perfect refuge for pre-theater dining. Connected to the sleek lobby of the InterContinental Hotel, Todd English’s sprawling, modern eatery features a lounge (complete with fireplace), a luxe dining room outfitted with dark woods and David Weeks-designed chandeliers, along with an adjacent “marché” (French market and cafe), which serves coffee, fresh baked goods and snacks from the early morning through mid-afternoon. Despite the hotel-restaurant vibe, English impresses with tasty plates like a tender escargot flatbread, foie gras-stuffed mushrooms and artichoke-crusted skate wing.
