What Our Expert Scouts Say

February 08, 2013

Bill's has adopted the salty, flattened, traditional burger style that the Shake Shack brought back into fashion, and combined it with full bar service and a major-league shake program to create midtown's best family eating experience.

Save your money and go to Wendy's. You'll get faster/nicer service and a better burger too.

Bills Bar and Burger, midtown- DONT GO!!!. Horrible, to say the least. packed, waited for 35 minutes on a Thursday night. server was great, food was bland, tasted like a Wendy's burger. Met the GM?? Michael I think, def has a "Napoleon complex" to go along with just the wrong attitude for a Burger Joint, thats what it is, get over it M!! ITS A BURGER JOINT, not Peter Luger's!! Service was fine, no problems there. Just seems management has a big attitude for a burger place, maybe because the inside is big?? Whatever the reason, not worth the time or effort.

Pleasantly Surprised. I'm a native New Yorker who DESPISES going to midtown. Any area that serves mainly tourists is a nightmare - in my opinion. SO, when I had friends in from out of town who needed to be in the Rockefeller Center area for dinner because they were waiting for tickets to SNL, I was stumped as to where to go. Looked around a bit online and came across this place.

I have to admit that I thought it was one of the best values I've experienced in Manhattan. We had burgers and drinks and everything was delicious and fairly priced. I like that they have 5 oz. burgers - it was just enough food (they have larger options if you want that). The drinks were well made and the service was professional, courteous, and just the right amount of attentive. With at least 2 drinks a person, a burger for each of us, an app, and 1 dessert, it came to about $40 a person. Very reasonable IMO.

I will definitely be back if I need to be in that area.

Citysearch Editorial Review. After conquering the Meatpacking District, this burger joint expanded with this 4,000 square foot flagship, though the down-home atmosphere, reasonable prices and delicious burgers haven't changed.
