Groupon deal- B Spa Bar???. The Groupon deal is extremely misleading! Cebado Barcelona uses the B Spa Bar name to market the Groupon deal & to try to make the place sound like a proper spa (or a chic-chic bar, ha!). But to my disappointment, I went and found a basic walk-in hair salon, similar to a Supercuts. The massage took place in a dingy back room, talk about shady. The pictures for B Spa Bar on the Groupon deal were not of the actual place where you will go for a massage. Yes they have small print telling you where to go, which was a totally different store location. That was my first warning sign this Groupon deal was not what it was cracked up to be. Talk about deceptive marketing. I much rather them be upfront so I know what exactly I'm paying for. The name "Beauty Room" is a scam, it was a small back room that was hot and had no amenities what so ever. I felt anything but beautiful being in there. Be aware, there are no comforts of what you'd expect from a "spa" or a "bar" for that matter. No showers, no robes & slippers, no towels, no floor mat for your bare feet, no drinks or even a glass of water. The hair dryers and noise from the salon did not make for a relaxing experience. The "soothing" music for my massage was anything but, the stereo kept skipping repeating & the masseuse kept interrupting my massage to go fix it. The massage focused on my arms & legs way too long, with minimal time on my back which was poorly massaged in the last 10 minutes of the hour. A properly trained masseuse would've focus on my back first & and spend most of the appointment working on this body part. The cheap sheets looked dirty and did not look like they were changed after each customer. They couldn't even invest in a proper coverlet/blanket. The blanket was a natty brown furry thing that felt itchy on my skin. It was gross. For the price of this Groupon deal, I would've much rather have gone to any NYC Korean nail salon & have one of those random guys massage me on those chairs. At least there, I will know what I'm paying for, no scams, no smoke & mirrors. In a nutshell, you just strip down to get a horrible massage and get dressed with massage lotion all over your body when the massage is over. It's a shame. I'm a strong believer that capitalism thrives. Businesses like this one won't last long. It's just sad they sold this deal to 700+ unsuspecting customers. Hopefully they read this before going.

No more FRIZZIESSSSSSSS. Unfortunately I have very thin, broken hair and with the humidity it looks really ugly frizzy:( I was recommended to try the Pravana Perfection smooth out and I am so happy that I did. Not only is my hair frizzless but it looks like I have more of it:))) And I don't have to use a gazillion products…Thank you guys for being so awesome. I love it and you saved my summer;)

AWFUL. I got my hair blown out here before I went wedding dress shopping and it was amazing. I think Carmen did it. I was excited to have a cheap place to get my hair blown out in the neighborhood. i decided to get my hair done before a wedding here since I had such a great experience the first time. BIG mistake. I had Alessandro (I think that is his name) and he was awful. I wanted a simple bun with a middle part. He just didn't like that idea and thought it was boring and did not care at all what I wanted and went on to do what he wanted without asking me. At the end, my friends said it looked like i literally had worms in my hair it was so ugly! My only request was my hair style last all night through dancing and 2 blocks from the salon my hair fell apart. when i went back to get it fixed and asked to just please make it a normal bun like i originally wanted he blamed me and refused to do it. another girl in the salon had to step in. he should be fired! they don't care about customer service at all and were completely insulting! he just loves himself and do what he wants to do. you get what you pay for I guess. go elsewhere!

Go with Alessandro!. I had my hair cut by Alesandro about a month ago. He was really great. I have a pretty set hairstyle, but I will say it's hard to accomplish. My hair is naturally light with darker tones underneath the top layer, which--if cut right--results in a what look like very expensive highlights. I also have very straight, very fine hair and a LOT of it, which makes thinning (without compromising the light top layer) a must. In other words, you have to know what you're doing.

I can say, even though it wasn't 110% what I wanted--probably because I wasn't vocal enough (tall, dark, handsomes with Antonio Banderas accents massaging your scalp will do that to ya)--it was really close. I plan to go back for a maintenance cut in a few weeks (as one must with short short hair) and hope to push it toward the exact place I want to get it this time. I haven't felt confident that a hairdresser could do that, actually, in a while. But, Alessandro knows what he's doing, and I'm really glad to have found him.

As for the rest of the salon, it's a nice atmosphere, easy location to access, and everyone working there is generally professional and tries to be welcoming. One gentleman at the desk disconcerted me--a bit too pushy, but tried to be nice, I guess--but the woman I ended up dealing with at the end was great.

RUINED MY HAIR. This salon is AWFUL!!!!! They ruined my Brazilian straightening. I went in for a simple half up do and specifically told the stylist SEVERAL times that I have Brazilian straightening and he needed to use shampoo that was safe for my treatment. He did not listen. When I called to complain later after I had washed my hair and realized my curls were coming back the salon tried to say the salon where I got the straightening didn't do it right. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. He also tried to cut a piece of my hair because he didn't like the way it was laying. He also kept trying to make a crazy up do which I kept saying no to and then tried to charge me double what he originally said. BEWARE!!!
