Don't become a victim of Copia's scam. One of the waitress initially told us that she was serving free samples of vodka, but ended up charging us for them at $4 per shot. So watch out for this scam, and DON'T DRINK/TOUCH ANYTHING OFFERED BY THEIR WAITRESS!!!
The Newest Hot Spot!.
Actually found out about these guys through their Facebook page @CopiaNYC. Thought I'd check them out because I work around the corner and it looked like they were really trying to open with a bang, judging by their pimped-out social.
I actually ended up having a great time! I'm usually hesitant about the midtown scene since it's primarily full of frat-basement-dollar-beer-hungry-interns, but Copia stuck out. They have a swankier vibe, kind of like the spots you'd be more suited to find below 14th street. Went with some co-workers and enjoyed some severe discounts - it was a Wednesday, so we opted for the $8 beer and burger deal. Not bad!
Wait staff was also hot, decor was pretty hot - I'm interested to see what it would be like later at night! Bottle service in midtown? Never would have crossed my mind until now...
I'm not of course, following them on Twitter too :)
