I received Alex Kaplan's info through a referral from a friend for head shots. When I looked at his website, I was very impressed with the quality of his work. Alex was willing to work with my schedule and very accommodating about fitting in my shoot. He was really helpful with his direction on set and creative when it came to shooting both inside and outside. I would definitely use Alex again and recommend him to others looking for high quality photos.

I cannot say enough positive things about Alex Kaplan and his entire team! He photographed our wedding on 10/27 and we're thrilled with the results. Alex captured every important moment and then some. He completely understood the type of photography I was looking for! I loved the fact that he was able to communicate with his co-photographer on the day of the wedding. This helped keep me calm and instead of getting 1,000 phone calls from the groom and his groomsmen asking when we would be ready - Alex was able to talk directly to Aaron (he was taking pictures of the guys) via a very cool secret-service looking device! Aaron could then relay this info to the guys. It was great. I am going to have a hard time picking out which photos I want to use in an album because they are all fantastic! I would highly recommend Alex Kaplan without any reservation whatsoever!

Alex and staff did an amazing job on our wedding photos. They were fantastic to work with - professional, friendly and knowledgeable!. All of our guests loved the photo booth and the pictures from our big day were absolutely beautiful! Alex was wonderful in helping capture my engagement. He allowed us to be yourself and the pictures turned out wonderfully. I was nervous because I was proposing and there were going to be pictures, but Alex made me feel as ease. I didn't notice him which is what I was looking for and I did not need to express that to him. He knew that from his professional experience. I would encourage anyone who is looking for engagement photos to use Alex. He is very professional and has a relaxing personality which helps you relax.

We couldn’t be happier with the service Alex and his team provided! We had our wedding ceremony and reception on the beach and wanted a very relaxed feel to the whole experience. Alex’s photography perfectly reflected our personal style and he was very much in-tune with climate of the event. He used a photojournalistic style and captured the moments in true form. This is exactly what we wanted. We wanted to be able to look at our pictures and see our guests in the moment, spontaneously interacting and having fun. We wanted to be able to see ourselves and our expressions of emotion in a way that could take us right back there in our minds and evoke those same emotions all over again. Alex gave us just that, and to be able to relive the most amazing and important moments of your life is truly a gift. Although I can appreciate the opportunities for creativity and perfection in posed shots, in my personal opinion, it takes a special kind of talent to be able see and capture life’s moments as they happen in real time. This is a true testament to Alex’s skill. In addition to all of this, he was a pleasure to work with. His relaxed nature was a perfect match for us and he handled the challenges of having to move around in the sand and having minimal light in the evening with mastery. Whatever your personal style is, Alex is sure to capture your vision with expertise and professionalism. I had used Alex on a previous occasion for a personal project, and my experience was just as pleasant. Alex consistently demonstrates respect for and interest in his client’s wishes.

We also had the photo booth at our reception. Our guests LOVED this and continue to comment how much fun this was. This was definitely a worthwhile investment and a highlight of the evening. The staff was great and the book they put together for us is priceless! Thank you so much!!!
