Tips for Beaumarchais Brasserie

August 01, 2012

REALLY BAD. went there for Sunday brunch mid-July. the place was empty at 2 PM except some 20-year old filling up on alcohol. My eggs Benedict were way overdone, bacon - dry, sauce Hollandaise left much to be desired. Definitely not worth a fraction of what i paid. the arrogant and pushy chubby waitress, plucked from some remote French village, had a nasty attitude and no manners. When she started arguing with my friend over the tip left, i crossed out my tip and put a fat zero. at this point the waitress came over, stuck her fat finger there and screamed "You dont leave ze tip hia?!!" after which she turned her fat ass right in my face and started loudly discussing me with another waitress. Generally this place has too much of "too kool for skool" attitude.

Very Nice Dinner. I visited Beaumarchais for dinner last week and has a wonderful time. The food was nothing less than stellar (be sure to get the Loup De Mer) and the atmosphere was fantastic. For a quieter dinner go before 9 but then late at night it turns into a full out dance party!

Be sure to make a reservation here...if you can get one!

Beats Day & Night's Brunch Parties. After changing its name I was still wondering if Beaumarchais' (before known as Bagatelle) brunch parties were what they used to be. After a less than stellar experience at Day & Night's brunch this memorial day weekend I was rather turned off by the whole brunch party idea but now decided to give it another try given how much fun I've had at Bagatelle in the past. This party was fantastic and blew away anything Day & Night has done at Merkato, Revel, I Tre Merli or East Hampton Point. The door policy is based on reservations rather than who can spend more money at the door (which is Day & Night's door policy). The food was surprisingly good and once 3 PM hit the party was in full swing!

Great choice. I was looking for a place to have a dinner party for my fiancee's birthday before we went to Kiss & Fly. After speaking to Christian in guest services he recommended us to have dinner at Beaumarchais. I have been to Bagatelle once for brunch but didn't get to try to the food. It was an amazing experience since we were looking for something more upbeat. The manager was also nice enough to walk us over to Kiss and fly to make sure that the host took care of us immediately. Thank you!

Highly Recommend. We heard that the brunch at Beaumarchais was rowdy and wild, so my husband and I decided to try out the dinner menu because we love French food prefer a low-key atmosphere.

Dinner was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. We split the Gnocchi appetizer which was decadent and delicious. For my main course I had a big angus steak which was prepared perfectly medium rare. Our server was fun and attentive.

I would definitely visit again. Beaumarchais Brasserie is more than a wild and crazy brunch. It's also a lovely place for a wonderful, romantic dinner.

Could Not be Happier. I went to Beaumarchais to celebrate a friend's 25th birthday because we heard the brunch was unlike anywhere else. That was an understatement.

The morning was filled with drinks, friends, music, and exceptional food. I really could have eaten the Belgium waffles two more times, even though the portion sizes were generous.

We were seated at 1130 and stayed until 2 or 230. I was having so much fun, it felt like 5 minutes. I can't wait to go back!!

LOVE Brunch!. Still one of the best brunch party in the city! Okay, there's Lavo...and Oak Room but the food is amazing which makes a big difference. It's sometimes a pain to get reservations which a downfall. But the music...crowd just reminds me of my summer in the Riveria!!

My 29th Bday. Just had my 29th birthday dinner at Beaumarchais (didn't even know they had a name change until I called!). We had roughly 10 people last week and couldn't be more pleased. The service was exceptional. Our waiter was great in taking care of us. The food was amazing - definitely try the Canard A L'Orange. It's to die for!!

Although the only complain was that we had a 930pm reservation and wasn't sat until 1015pm. But the manager was nice enough to buy us a round of drinks for waiting. Overall I couldn't be more pleased.

Change isn't always bad!. Ok so they changed their name... And their colours (Favouring Man U instead of chelsea now!!!) and enhanced their menu! All great things in my book. JB got me a reso last minute, xoxo (call ahead!!) Try the truffle chicken and the gnocchi. Their new excite cocktail got my gal pals and I totally sloshed (in a good way) and the music (love you dj J.Dumas) helped me dance off 10lbs! The staff was helpful and knew their stuff (Aki told us to do 1 pitcher instead of glasses knowing we'd all love Excite, boy was he right!). Considering how much we danced, we didn't think twice about ordering the sundae! Cheers to a well oiled machine!

NYC's Glamorous Secret. Once you enter Beaumarchais you really can't decide whether you are in a restaurant or a hot New York club. The decor is elegant and clean. The atmosphere is intimate and quite glamorous, and the music sets the scene for a wild night!

If great food is your passion Beaumarchais delivers. Try their juicy Filet Mignon or some beautiful Tuna Tartar that melts in your mouth for something on the lighter side. This is also the ideal spot for a nice brunch or dinner with friends.

Check out Beaumarchais- you wont regret it!
