Good F-IN Food and Cocktails!

by EstherGB

I am not usually that person that goes out and than writes about it BUT after Fridays experience I had to write something down for all to see!

I went with a girlfriend for drinks after work. The vibe at the bar is almost electric at Gravy. We didn't have the pleasure to sit down for dinner, that was our intention but we ended up meeting other people sitting at the bar and all of us ordered the most delicious appetizers and some side dishes and drank/ate ourselves late into the night.

The debutante is now my drink of choice...I now know it was created for Gravy BUT I think everyone should have them as a signature cocktail. My friend had quite a few hurricanes and believe me, she knows her drinks. They are also incredible.

Go to Gravy! You wont be sorry. Tell the charming bartender I say hello!

New Southern Cuisine....Spot on!

by Scott Linder

I had the good fortune of being taken out by family a few nights ago in the Flatiron district. I had never even heard of New Southern Cuisine but I am so glad I had the pleasure of finding out exactly what that is!

My family LOVES to eat so we ordered practically every appetizer so we can all "try" everything. I loved the fritters and really loved the fried green tomatoes. Those I would go back for a few times.

For dinner I had the corn flake crusted chicken. Crispy on the outside and tender and juicy when you cut in. It literally melted in your mouth. and don't miss out of the hand cut gravy fries. They are now my favorite in the city.

Service was very spot on. The server knew her stuff but was never fussy. Most of us had a signature cocktail as they all seemed wonderful companions with the food.

I love going to new concept restaurants and I commend the owners but especially the chef.

I would go anywhere he was a chef at. Go see and experience "New Southern Cuisine!" You'll be thrilled
