Fantastic Pilates Instructor!

I first reached out to Carrie when my second child was almost 5 months old. My body was not coming back together as it had after my first baby, and I knew that I needed someone who truly understood pregnancy and motherhood to help me. I was also exhausted and learning how to juggle the demands of more than one child. Carrie was the perfect instructor. She came to my house for a series of private sessions that were unbelievably effective and helpful. Within a couple of weeks of working with Carrie (of only meeting once per week) I was receiving compliments from people on how I looked. More importantly, I was feeling so much better and energized. I have also enjoyed Carrie's post-natal group class. It's amazing. She's amazing. Carrie really understands how to teach pilates. She is safe, innovative, motivated and motivating. My only regret is not learning about Carrie sooner and not being able, as a mom who works full-time, to see her more often.

Looked forward to class every week

I started attending Carrie's prenatal class at 30 weeks, and my only regret is that I didn't hear about the class sooner. I attended class up until my due date, and so looked forward to class each week. The stretches were such a relief to my sore muscles and joints; I did many of them throughout the week at home. Carrie gave such a personal touch to class - remembering everyone's names and due dates, and providing pointers and gentle assistance to deepen stretches. My delivery was as pleasant as it could have been - I only had to push for 15 minutes, thanks in part (I'm sure) to a strong core and pelvic floor... thanks to pilates! I'm very much looking forward to starting the postnatal class in a few weeks!

Must do for prenatal relief!!

I've always been a big fan of yoga and pilates, and when I became pregnant, I knew prenatal pilates would be the way to go. I came across Carrie's class and took it from weeks 18 to 39 and it was the best decision I could have made! Carrie is an excellent instructor and takes the time to make sure you're doing the poses properly and getting the relief you need. She even stayed with me several times after class to work out target areas that were bothering me. I can honestly say that the class made me more aware of how to stretch properly without hurting yourself and constantly doing your kegels, which came in extremely handy during labor!! I'm now 3 weeks post partum and feel great, and I can't wait to start the postnatal classes in another 3 weeks.

Best Pilates in Hoboken!!!!!

I have been taking Pilates from Carrie for over 10 years. She got me in amazing shape for my wedding, kept me moving while I was pregnant and got me back into shape postpartum. Through all the years and different stages of my physique, I always finish her class feeling stronger and more aligned. Pilates can seem intimidating while pregnant but Carrie’s pre-natal class gives you a great work out and an amazing energy boost all with the most perfect exercises modified for all levels of pregnancy. I highly recommend Carrie’s pre or post natal Pilates class, she is an amazing instructor and has extensive knowledge in Pilates!!

Carrie helped me get my body back - safely and gently

Carrie helped me get my body back. After having 2 very big babies I found myself in a body that didn’t feel good. A neighbor had her second baby soon after I had mine and swore pilates helped her get her pre-baby body back the first time so she couldn’t wait to start working out again. She referred me to Carrie because she felt Carrie was extremely knowledgeable about the post pregnancy body and the issues we face after pregnancy. I took her info and filed it away. A few weeks later I had a hernia scare and was told that I really needed to strengthen my core. I quickly found Carrie’s info and reached out to her for personal sessions in my home. She is extremely sympathetic to all post partum issues including the fact that I was slightly embarrassed about my lack of abdominal strength. She is smart about teaching the basics of pilates and is really respectful of your personal limits. This is one of Carrie’s true value propositions – she will help you recover and re-build your body. Carrie’s positive energy is contagious and she is extremely reliable, thoughtful and kind.
