Please consider twice before eating at Winegasm. It’s poorly managed. I called to make reservations for V-Day three weeks in advance. While making the reservation I asked about the menu for that night; specifying my wife is a vegetarian and we want to ensure that she will be able to enjoy the experience if there was a limited menu. I was told it was an open menu not to worry. Then I received a call 1 week before V-Day telling me there is only a tapas menu available and that all options have fish/meat. It is one week before Valentines Day. It will be very hard to make a reservation at a reputable establishment under short notice. Very disappointed, especially since the manager who took my call yesed me up and down, just to call back and rescind his word.

As for the food? Wouldn’t know. Didn’t even get that far.

Great spot & the BEST Mac n Cheese!. Winegasm is the perfect spot to relax with some wine and good company. I make it a habit to try mac n cheese everywhere it's available and Winegasm gave me a mac n cheese gasm... INCREDIBLE! Excellent food priced right in an awesome atmosphere. I can't wait to go back.

try one of the wine flights sooo good.. great great selection of wines. try one of their wine flights! it's awesome because you get to try a few different wines you may not normally have the courage to buy a whole glass.

Our private wine tasting party. Our private wine tasting party was the best way to celebrate our dear friend's 30th! It was a lovely afternoon of chatting and drinking together.

We all learned a little bit from Dean and overall, loved it!

the owner rips you off. went with a friend and was so excited. love wine bars!!!! and i heard the mac and cheese was amazing. while there, we started talking to one of the owners. he seemed really nice and after we were done with our bottle of wine. he recommended another bottle for us to try. he even poured himself a glass. well we didn't like the bottle and gave the it to the owner. he accepted it and continued to drink it. we decided to get another bottle of what we had previously. when we asked for the bill, to our surprise, we got charged for the bottle of wine we didn't like and gave back to the owner. it took about 20 minutes to have the owner come out from the back to explain why this was on there. he actually said too bad. i got more infuriated and started making a scene. this time yelling at how dare he rip us off. finally after 15 minutes or so, i got the bottle of wine off the check. there are new wine bars popping up all over astoria so i'll never have to go back here again.

Manhattan in Astoria. Right around the corner from my place, I love coming here after work. It's a nice alternative to staying late in the city and cabbing home. I just wish their kitchen was open late as well.

Best place with the weirdest name!. I just wanted to comment on this little spot me and my friends recently stumbled upon. I was initially both curious and slightly put off by the weird name but once inside I was pleasantly surprised, decor and ambiance were A++, it was a Tuesday night and the place was hosting an ''Open Mic'' event, at first there were not too many people and the gentleman behind the bar said it was a "calm before the storm" and true to his words about an hour into the event the place was packed with young "new age" Astoria crowd. I have been living in this neighborhood for a few years now and always wished there were more places like this one with a Manhattan "feel" .. so I think this place might save me a trip to Manhattan on occasion! Overall, really impressed, staff was minimal ( I only saw 3 people including the cook) but really friendly and the food was excellent, we tried some smaller and larger shares (goat cheese stuffed peppers and bacon mac & cheese) REALLY awesome! Wine selection seemed extensive I am not a big wine drinker but glass of Italian red they recommended (a Super Tuscan? ) was spot on. Great addition to the neighborhood!

over priced. Really nice place, decent selection of wines and the staff has good recommendations but VERY small portions for the prices.

The Astoria Wine Bar Revolution Begins Here. Traditional wine bar with seasonal cocktails and inventive apps. Gracious hosts provide attentive service that makes you feel at home. Open mic nights supporting local artists, generous brunches and educational wine tasting classes are among the many incentives of this place. Much needed for the area.

Astoria needed this one! Long overdue!. Just lovely! Walked in Friday evening, it was fairly busy but not crowded. It is so welcoming and cozy. Sophisticated but understated and relaxed. Love the central communal table (fantastic for large group parties!) The staff are a great team, very friendly. Iif you are not a wine expert, don't worry - the staff will pick the bottle or drink that's just right for you.

We had a devine bottle of Pere et Fils Pouilly-Fuisse. The food was excellent. Althought they do not serve dinner portion meals you can fill up on the delightful shareable smalls orders. Try the goat cheese filled peppers, Gasm carrot spread or scallops - all so yummy! We had a wonderful evening. Excellent for dates!
