A MUST EXPERIENCE!. As soon as you walk in the door, it is like stepping into an oasis. It is calming and immediately takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city streets below. The staff is nurturing and professional and you know your comfort is their top priority.

Mauricio is an amazing stylist! When we first met, my hair was too dark, frizzy and listless and he transformed it back to my natural color, thick, sleek, shiny and beautiful.

His love of what he does translates into the care he has for his clients to not only look beautiful on the outside but to experience your inner beauty.

Best Haaircutter, great atmosphere. The setting is calm and beautiful, a little oasis.

Stanley is great. I have followed him wherever he is for 14 years. Mauricio's is hands down the loveliest salon he has been at. Staff are lovely and welcoming, place feels spa like and intimate. I have short hair and get a great haircut, worth traveling for.

MAURICIO and the NEW HAIR SALON. Just love my hair cut and color. Mauricio always does a great job with my hair. My hair is thinning but somehow he makes it look full and healthy. He really helps me by telling me what to do in-between hair-cuts so it always look great.

His Salon is a wonderful experience. You can tell great thought went into decorating it. Every detail makes you feel right at home.and comfortable. The best is the reclining chair you sit in to have your hair washed. You have to see it to believe it. The atmospher is very calming.

I love Mauricio, he always makes me feel so good and keeps my hair looking great.

An Oasis -- and you'll feel & look fabulous. I've been raving about Stanley for almost 11 years. I used to go to Stanley at his own shop, but he now has moved to a salon owned and operated by his good friend Mauricio.

You can't go wrong with either Stanley or Mauricio. The salon itself is beautiful... a stylish, relaxing, intimate spot that feels private and exclusive... but not cramped.

What can I say about Stanley: well, I won't go to anyone else. Friends have asked if my blonde highlights are natural (they're not), and my cut lasts for months simply because it's so well done. Even my blow-dry lasts for 6-7 days without my doing a thing to it.

Bottom line... Stanley and Mauricio are wonderfully talented, and if you like a fabulous cut and color, you should definitely give this place a try.

Treat your hair well!. I recently went to Mauricio Salon and received great care and attention for my curly hair. The staff is attentive, friendly and professional. The atmosphere of the salon is calm with soothing music and a spa-like feel. The decor is unique with European and Colombian (originally where he is from) influences. I was extremely pleased with the results of my style and color and best of all Mauricio uses environmentally friendly products contributing to a green planet. Definitely recommended.

Haircut After Haircut- Mauricio Never Disappoints!. Mauricio has been cutting my hair for three years and my hair is not easy! It's thin, kind of wispy, curly in parts and not so curly in other parts. Mauricio is literally the first hairdresser to EVER make me look GREAT! He not only really understands hair and hair products, makes you look beautiful, but he also makes you feel beautiful. The new salon is just what others here say- more like going to a spa than just getting a haircut. The shampoo and head massage just blissed me out and the staff is so nurturing and down-to-earth- not at all stuffy or stuck up as they are in so many high-end New York salons. Thank you Mauricio! I hope your new salon is a big success, but know that I will follow you anywhere.

Run, don't walk to Mauricio HSP. I followed Stanley to Mauricio's from a different salon, and if I ever had to move out of New York (gasp!), I would take a plane, train, or automobile - or all three - in order to continue having Stanley in charge of my tresses. No kidding. He gives an excellent hair cut. Added bonus of Mauricio's sleek and spa-like atmosphere: the shampoo time was heavenly. Five minutes of dreamy scalp massage. And the lean-back chair doesn't put a crick in your neck. You will leave the salon feeling pretty and bouncy, not lopsided and grouchy. Enjoy!

Best experience ever... This place is one of the best experiences I have had getting my hair done (and I have been all over)! This is also my first review on this site and I felt this experience was worth mentioning.

I went to Stanley, who was the best as he REALLY listened to me, gave me the most gorgeous haircut and repaired my damaged tresses with great conditioning and cut. It can be nerve wracking to go to someone new and to get the perfect cut, and he was such a pro. Stanley is truly talented artist who really cares about his craft!

It was so relaxing too, everyone was incredibly nice, and the location is great. Can't say enough great things about this place! I will definitely go back and recommend Joseph Mauricio Hair Studio to all of my friends.
