What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying
The Bowery might not need another British-inspired gastropub, but The Wren stands out from its new neighbors. First, it comes from Wilfie & Nell owner Mark Gibson, plus it’s sourcing from local purveyors like Saxelby Cheese. Their delicious drink options will lure you in, and all can hold their own against the entrees like traditional fish and chips—with homemade tartar sauce—or the heritage pork sausage sandwich.

Only been here for drinks...oh so good.
Bartender super friendly, will recommend specialized drinks according to preferences. Horrible name, but tastes amazing: order Whiskey Business.

British in the Bowery.
I like to be up on the latest hot spots and so I jumped at the chance to go to this new restaurant. That is until I heard it was an English pub. I like to eat veggie so I wasn't going for the fish and chips fare. I managed to score some fried cauliflower and broccoli with cheese. Kind of stuck to my ribs, but it was tasty going down. So was the Reisling Kabinett. I think I had 5 glasses I'm embarrassed to say. Score one for the Brits.
