What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying
If you're like my grandfather, you like to take a good old fashioned snooze after a tasty meal, and there's no better place to do that than Isola, the new seasonal Italian resto in the Mondrian Hotel. Sicilian chef Victor LaPlaca, opened shop in the glamorous greenhouse space formerly inhabited by Imperial No. 9. Like its previous occupant, Isola serves plenty of seafood but it's the (surprisingly affordable) pizzas and pastas on the seasonally shifting menu that steal the show here. After your crudo, antipasti and secondi, if you're feeling like you're ready to slip into a food coma, just head to the front desk and check-in.
